Social distancing isn't going to happen in reality. I'm back at work, everyone milling around, in each others offices, lunch together. It's great but that's my decision and that of my colleagues. To answer your question, with people half vaccinated and a circa 60% efficacy it's obvious that there'll be issues if we fully open now. Get the vulnerable second jabbed by around June and we'll be on the right track then. Now is too early in my opinion. You're welcome to your opinion.

A booster and ongoing boosters to deal with mutations is a given. The issue though is when we open up our society to something like normality. I suspect we'll get there before any boosters, but pre second jab for the masses is premature.
-
You think it's OK to fully open up now, I don't think we're quite there yet. Let's leave it there and agree to differ.
-
Eh? The vaccines comes in two halves. Not sure where you're third nonsense comes from...seems like you're feeding your own agenda. Either way, Lighthouse has made the point that anyone with any sense already knows.
-
Yep. Staggering that it the simple point has one made time and time again. If all of the non vaccinated just crack on it should be obvious we'll have issues.
-
Half the people have been half vaccinated. Very few have been fully vaccinated. We're not there yet.

Yep, I have public sector friends who have no idea of the realities of the real world of the private sector. And let's not get started on pensions.
-
For many businesses, turnover is down, outgoings are up, so something has to give. Pay freezes are very much the norm in the real world of the private sector.
-
You're better than ignorant nonsense like that.
-
The criticism in your first paragraph is the reason for the second paragraph.

Yep, this vaccine rollout has been a monumental success. Sure, there's been errors galore, but the lack of gratitude from many is staggering. Give credit where its due.

Good post. The government has kept this simple, and that's one of the reasons it's worked so efficiently. Faffing about with work related criteria and/or ID would have made it less efficient and divisive. The government have got a lot wrong, but they've got this right.

Sims is the one that I think really had something. That run and ball against Liverpool was quality. Les Reed rated Sims and thought he was going to do really well. Without the players you mention being in his way, and the managerial changes, perhaps things would have worked out differently. I can't help but think though that he'd have had more of a chance of he'd had a season or two on loan in the championship rather than sitting around the club not playing.
-
Yep, he got whacked by someone and came off. Whether he had a bit of fear from that I don't know, but from that to Crawley Town in 5 or 6 years and barely playing a game in teh meantime is a shame.
-
Yep, him and Sims had something but they haven't kicked on. I don't think we've handled them brilliantly though - the policy of not loaning out but not giving opportunities means that players aren't developing, and if they ain't developing, they eventually go backwards. Hesketh is better than a loan at Crawley at 25 years of age.

I think that's half and Everton are paying the rest.
-
But questions to people who have said they don't want to play are daft. Give it up mate and enjoy the weekend.
-
Bless. You'd have a row with a tree mate.

You're a pain in the arse mate. Our tactics are simple. JWP role is simple. I couldn't give a monkeys about other teams or clubs, this thread isn't about them.
