    Coronavirus

Jeez, not very inspiring. I wandered why Germany had a much lower death rate than us.
  2. Not a bad idea that although with champions league etc and domestic cups it'd be difficult but could be made to work. I'm with you on favouring domestic football over internationals - if something has to give its internationals for me.
  3. Where do the euros fit in?
  4. Weed
  5. Cross purposes I think mate - I'm referring the blunt and honest nature of his condemning the behaviour of people. Nowt to do with numbers, policy, anything like that.
  6. Usually, yes he is, but he's called out corona cnts and said it as it is and for that I applaud him.
  7. Me too...utter helmet. On the flip side I've developed a bit of respect for Piers Morgan.

    Ryan Seager

The injury was horrendous. Had a spell at Havant and Waterlooville in the conference south recently and he couldn't get a game there. Real shame, a lovely lad by all accounts and talented, but it just hasn't worked out for him.

    Yep. Couldn't have been clearer.

That's more like it. We've shown ourselves to be a nation of divs so the decision had to be imposed on us.

It has to. Remarkably, many people just don't get it. It's a shame the government have to do that but there are so many imbeciles out there it's inevitable.
  12. You wanted a debate. You got one. You then ignore questions when you're cornered. I'll ask one last time. How are you or anyone else impacted by my neighbour praying as set out above. If the answer is you're/they're not (that is the answer by the way) then have the grace to say so. I've answered your question. Because you don't like the answer, it doesn't mean it hasn't been answered. Your other points are daft and I'm going around the houses with you. Simply though, some people pray cos it gives them some comfort and guidance. They also acknowledge that prayer won't treat coronavirus, headache, toothache or whatever. Your point comes down to your own beliefs. You seem to think that it's prayer or science, and that those who pray believe that it has to be one or the other.
  13. No no no. You're not ducking this one mate. Your point is that other people's prayers per se impact on others, you included. I've given you a prayer scenario. Tell me how that impacts you or others. Or retract your point. Medicine is medicine and is needed. I don't know anyone who prays that it's a substitute for medical assistance or medicine. It seems that you have a misguided view that all those who pray do so for themselves and that prayer is the solution to every issue in life. Now back to my neighbour...
  14. Jeez. So think all people who pray turn into retards? Let's assume she's not an idiot who does what you suggest and us not praying for that. Let's assume that she's praying for some direction on how she can be of help to others. That may give her peace and comfort. She may be accepting all the government advice and following it. How does her praying impact you or anyone else?
  15. Stay on your point. You claim that my neighbour praying to something that she calls god impacts others. Explain in words of one syllable how it impacts a) you or b) anyone else. Give actual hypothetical examples, not waffle.
  16. The issue is how it impacts you. The answer it doesn't. It has nothing to do with you. At all.
  17. So my neighbour praying to a god of her understanding impacts other people in your view. Give me f*cking strength.
  18. I don't believe that anyone's beliefs should be challenged on the basis that personal beliefs are exactly that, and have f*ck to all to do with anyone if they are not impacted by it. It makes no difference to you, me, MLG, or anyone if someone wants to pray to whatever they choose to believe in for some comfort or guidance at this or any other time. Dredging this thread up as MLG has, and calling out people to join in a debate that only MLG wants, is crass / cheap /pathetic given what people are trying to adjust to at the moment. People have said that they don't want to play his games and MLG should respect that.

  20. MLG, this is my last post on the subject so I'll be blunt. You can be pedantic and opinionated at the best of times, but here you are showing yourself as insensitive, judgemental, opinionated, selfish and an all round bell end. In the real world people are dying, suffering, and full of fear about health, family, friends, finances, future etc etc etc. This is serious and it is not the time for you to challenge people's beliefs and/or that are private to them. If my neighbour who has no religious beliefs feels that prayer is helpful at this time, nobody else has any right to an explanation as to why that is being done. Your arrogance is beyond belief - how you can feel that anyone must explain to you what they choose to believe in/do I really don't know. Focus on what makes you feel better at this time. Leave others to do what works for them. Live and let live, please.
  21. None of us have any right to question what gives other people ease and comfort at this time. This is not about you, your opinion, or your prejudice.
  22. There's a time for expression of your sorts of feelings. Now is not it. Have a look at what's going on. Take a minute to consider how others might be feeling or coping, and then think of the inevitable long term damage emotionally, physically, financially. Then ask yourself whether it's appropriate to be ramming home your prejudices. I know people with no belief in anything who've turned to prayer. Sure you'll question why do that if you don't believe, but if it helps people cope then good luck to them. If ever there was a time to live and let live, it's now. That's a long winded way of saying wind your neck in.
  23. Low death rate though. Ditto Germany. Can only assume they have zillions of ventilators.
  24. Inevitable as bed space and ventilators are all in use. Hence the need to lock down and stop the spread outside of our homes.

    Coronavirus

The likes of the national trust opening places for free and encouraging visitors (many of them elderly) didn't help either. We've got thousands of acres of forests and woodland where we can walk in isolation, it's not hard if people exercise common sense.
