That is encouraging. With everyone being sensible, hopefully we'll get the numbers down further. It's not all about Dorset though, the numbers are going the wrong way in certain areas.

You confuse what I'm doing. I'm being careful, maintaining distancing where I can. I cannot, however, control what other people do. It's like driving to an extent - I take care but I can't control other how others drive, but I can't stay off the roads because someone may drive like a dick and crash into me. Covid hasn't gone anywhere. We live amongst it. Life goes on, it has to, but I don't act as if it's gone away and/or that'll I'll probably be OK if I catch it. The sad fact is that many people are complacent a) about teh chances of catching it and b) what it may do to them if they are unfortunate enough to catch it. The "few people die of it" attitude on this thread says it all.

You normally come across as a bright fella, but appear to have lost your way on this simple issue. Complacency = ignoring distancing. Hope that helps.

    Indeed we do.

That article refers risk of dying. Covid's impact is not as binary as living or dying. It's about the effects if you don't die. A respiratory consultant explained to me the 4 possible effects of covid. 1.No symptoms, 2.mild symptoms, 3.really serious symptoms with unknown complications, 4.death. There's no middle ground between the 2nd and 3rd areas. None. Its the complications at 3 which nobody wants.or really knows.I know a previously healthy and fit 46 year old woman who has been very ill for over 4 months. She hasn't died, but is left with multitude of life impacting issues to include neurological problems and arthritis. Who knew covid could cause those problems? I suspect you didn't. The reality is that they can. Yes, there's living and dying, but there's a hell of a lot in the middle that no sane person wants to risk happening to them or someone else.
  6. I think you're right. That was 9 years or so ago now though, so things may be different now. Either way, he's a good manager and what he achieved at Bournemouth was remarkable, and he'll get opportunities.

Chances of dying small, but I know young previously healthy people who will never be the same from it. People who are complacent aren't alive to the risks if it doesn't kill you. % wise the risks are low, granted, but having seen how 2 friends lives have been ruined, I won't join the complacent gang.

Who knows. Equipment is shared so it's possible from that, but anti bac available, some use it and some don't. Generally being there and exercising outside all but risk free imo, hence why I do it, but people walking past you at close proximity and breathing hard is riskier than people doing so at 2m. A bit of common sense and respect from people would help.

    Jose Fonte

Accurate ish. He wanted to play, and to play for a few years. The contract we offered didn't offer him that opportunity. He was in a position to get more from other clubs than we were willing to offer him. That's completely different to Forster and Moi and I'm not sure how you can put them in the Fonte bracket.

It's spreading because people aren't being careful. Complacency is rife. It's no more complicated than that. I've just come from an outdoor bootcamp. 6 weeks ago people weren't going. Then they did. Initially they gave others a wide berth. Then they got closer. Today they're walking past each other inches apart breathing in each others (mine included) faces. We should have just stuck to the 2m message and emphasised it.

  15. There's rumours that he's signed, and rumours that he hasn't. If you know better then great, but I'll await confirmation.
  16. If he wants Man Utd and they want him, then he'll go to Man Utd. This idea that saints can just "get it done" rather misses the point that the player will go where there's the most money.

The other side of The extension of that is that Spain could decide that because of the pockets of cases over here in Leicester, Oldham etc, that anyone travelling to Britain from Spain must quarantine. They could be as daft as us and decide that Britain includes Gibraltar, which would on workers going between Gib and the mainland. Nuts.

Grant Schapps made it clear yesterday that the scientist was behind this, he said "Chris Whitty, the chief medical officer, was very clear with us that he was concerned about the data..." Either way its a lazy & stupid decision - putting the Canary Islands, off the coast of Africa, in the same basket as pockets of mainland Spain is nuts. I'd feel significantly safer on a beach Gran Canaria than a beach in Bournemouth.

I met Beattie twice and he was a cock both times. Deserves his place in Turkish's line up.

People misunderstand the lallana thing. He was Ioyal and stuck with us when we in the lower leagues and helped us get back. He was then denied a move which he was promised. He then got the hump which is understandable. Completely different scenario to Hoedt.
