  1. How about the Brentford game? May well have played in that.
  2. There is a player in there, anyone who's watched him has seen it. The goals he's scored, and his technical ability, are evidence of its needed. He's not been consistent though, but he's arguably not had a fair crack of the whip. Personally I'd give him a go rather than sell him cheap or sending him out on loan. If he gets chances and doesn't step up then reassess in the Jan window. We've got nothing to lose in my opinion.
  3. The Scott Sinclair of CB's no less.
  4. Ooh, you're a touchy fecker. I'm all for sensible debate mate, but your style of getting personal when someone challenges what you post is pathetic. If you really feel that you have a valid point then support it, if not, how about winding your neck in.
  5. Who will buy them on their wages? Suppose we do sell them, and can't then get someone decent? What about we get a new one first but can't shift anyone and we're left with 7? If only it was as simple as you believe.
  6. Whatever, they are a sh1t team.
  7. Behave. Looking composed in a friendly against a Chinese pub team does not make someone ready for the Premier league.
  8. Cheers Manji. So 10/10 for intent / attitude but 3/10 for application.
  9. I think we're in a catch 22. We need players gone to free up cash for better players to play RH preferred 4222, but our CB's are so bad we need to play 3 at the back so we need numbers. It's almost a case of having to get a decent CB in to move a couple out but then we're potentially stuck with excess if we can't then shift the dross. It's a mess.
  10. Ah gotcha, thanks ?
  11. 35 players to 22 is a tall order. I'd wager that we won't shift half.
  12. Hand
  13. Bonkers, but if true, probably a built in annual hike rather than a new deal. He's not going anywhere sadly.
  14. Sad part is that I posted previously that he'd been working hard at golden ring and it wasn't him. Didn't stop the lynch mob though. Says an awful lot about this forum.
  15. Fair point. Spelling mistakes in his grammatical correction post.
  16. Damage
  17. From Slattery's personal trainer at Golden Ring on 28/6 - accompanied by a pic a very lean looking Slattery : "For the last 4 weeks I’ve been training this young fella. He’s been an absolute pleasure to train, always gives 100% and has done everything asked of him. Straight 2 hour sessions to try and get him superfit for the new premier league season where he will be making his claim to become a midfield superstar for Southampton FC. He will be going into pre-season training next week fitter than ever before. Good luck and take a bow Mr Slattery, you have done yourself proud". This boll0cks that Slattery returned fat is boll0cks. He's a great prospect. His contract is deserved.
  18. the craic. If you insist on pulling up a poster on his spelling... On the main point, we couldn't take all kids so understandably a few first teamers have been dragged along. There'll doubtless be some spin that LD sports support has enabled the signing of Adams etc. It's PR boll0cks but a necessary evil I guess.
  19. You referring to me Del or the other fella?
  20. Are you still banging on about this?! If you two want a tedious private debate about what other clubs have spent in the past, how about PM?
  21. I didn't, but wtf has Valery got to do with Klarer?! You're a proper idiot mate.
  22. I have watched him play many times and am staggered that anyone who watches Premier league football could think he's even remotely close to the required standard. What about his game makes you think that he is? I'm genuinely interested cos I just don't see it. As for Fry, I haven't seen him, but Upemacano is everything that Klarer isn't - extremely fast, good on the ball, positional sense is there (but needs work) and he's very strong. He's also proven at the highest level. I'm a great admirer of our youth players and love to see them get a chance, but saying that a lad who struggled to make our u23 team is better than a champions league standard player is a stretch.
  23. I do wander how many people raving about Klarer have watched him. He's very raw, not great on the ball, positional sense is lacking and he switches off. He wasn't able to get in the u23 team for chunks of last season. Sure, the lad has potential, but he's a million miles from a premier league CB.
  24. Agreed. Moving Cedric on seems pointless. Replacing him with better will cost a fortune, and he gives left side cover too.
  25. How much are his wages?
