Wtf has a bloke who had a brief to deliver a training ground for £15m but spent near £40m got to do with his replacement overseeing the signing of players and recruitment of managers who didn't work out ? You're comparing apples with chocolate bars. Cortese became a loose cannon. Reed became incompetent. There is a world of difference.
-
She'll resign saying her mandate was to deliver a Brexit close to her deal, not a WTO arrangement, a second referendum or a revocation of article 50. Some other sucker will be the one remembered for overseeing one of those 3 alternatives - May won't want to be that person.
-
You clearly haven't got a clue pal. This was an overspend of £24m.
-
This. His overspend on Staplewood was outrageous and he couldn't stay after that. Credit where it's due though, he oversaw our rise back to the top and we can't forget that.
-
He's a good player who's been in and out of teams under poor management and his confidence has been shot to bits. When he has played he's mostly had shocking service. With a run of games, proper man management and half decent service there's every chance we good see the decent version of Long again.

I think we'll see another youngster, Thomas O'Connor, in this one. Would expect him as a 3rd CB or possibly DM. Shame Sims and Jones can't feature but Gallagher must start. We will win.

You should try cancelling a recurring payment, absolute nightmare. That all said, I'm struggling to understand what the overheads are for running a forum but 10p a week is literally pennies so if it's genuinely needed to maintain the site it's a small price.

I disagree, but these 2 have not suddenly become good enough to improve us just because other players are sh'ite. They have been sent on loan to a lower league because they are lower league players.
-
This. He often looked on a different wavelength to the other players.
-
Yep, he's been well rated. More importantly, it's hard to believe why helmet alleged "fans" would quote ( or make up ) comments to support their own view that a player that they've probably never seen play is sh:te. Madness.
-
It's not jealousy. We are in a relegation fight and that our squad is sh:te. If those close to us strengthen their starting eleven anyone with sense can see that we are in danger of finishing below them.
-
Yep. He'd improve us massively down the right.
-
If they can bring them in, fair play to them. 3 cracking players, all of which would improve us.
-
Of that 27 we'll ditch a keeper and have Lewis as back up. Seager won't feature and imo will be released - just not happening for the poor kid.
-
Lack of pace is the issue for me but he's got something about him. I'd prefer Bertrand as a 3rd CB though, particularly if we stick with Vestergaard - we need pace in the back 3.
-
Good luck to the bloke. He's been a great servant on and off the pitch and deserves regular football. I suspect his squad place will go to Marcus Barnes.

It's not that this is "not directly Saint relationship" but that it's not remotely Saints related. You mention 2 specific situations. What went on with Bellamy none of us know so posing a question of whether Bellamy is a tyrant or the lad is over sensitive is plain daft and just invites speculation and potentially scurrilous comment. From what I hear though, Bellamy is a nice fella but whether he's been a bit of a helmet, who knows.

But we don't so it's a pointless question. -

Neither are good enough. Mo being shi'ite doesn't suddenly make Sims good enough. -

I think you could be right. -
Yep. Knowing that there's a chance of promotion must be a hell of an incentive. Good management brings improvement though the whole club.

Decent performance. Back 3 all did well - Klarer has improved on the ball and O'Driscoll has turned into a clone of Stephens. Kid at RB solid and promising debut. Vokins at LB petulant first half and disappointing - he's always impressed me but not today. Smallbone had a decent game and main creator. Jankewitz started well before fading but looks a talent - tall, strong, good passer and an organiser. One to watch. Hamblin did very little. Tella scored a good goal but otherwise just runs around a lot. Afolabi strong, pacy, makes decent runs and is another to watch. Overall a decent performance from a young time. The one negative were the shocking throw ins - nobody offered up for the ball and the ref had to tell us to get on with it.
-
Great work by Afolabi for the goal - dumped their CB on his arse to let the ball run to Tella. Afolabi has got a bit about him.
-
I did. Constant. We're watching different games.
