I don't disagree on the big pharma/ business point, and I'm with Turkish on the cycle of ultra processed food making people ill, and medication fixing them up points. However, I don't see the link between psychiatrists and psychologists diagnosing MH and neuro divergence issues, and the pharma business. It's a sad reality that more youngsters are suffering with these issues (the lock downs have played a huge part). Devils advocate questions - is it a good or bad thing that medics are picking up, diagnosing, and addressing these issues in youngsters? Or are you suggesting that medics are mis diagnosing to keep the pharma business going?

There would be some kind of test. It's academic anyway as fortunately we're more civilised than to reintroduce a death penalty. -

Quite. I can't quite imagine the judiciary sitting there, calculator in hand, making a live or die decision. -

The cost of incarcerating people is not a good reason to kill them instead. -

It's the reality of prison life for people like him. -

I'm not sure how you rehabilitate someone who'll never see the light of day again. -

Everyone can have an opinion on this, and I think this is one of those issues where there isn't a right or wrong view. Personally I'd rather the guy has a horrendous life in prison for the rest of his days, but I have no issue with anyone wanting to see him strung up. -

There's no right or wrong answer on this, but none of us can say what's best for the families. They may prefer to know that he's suffering at the hands of his fellow inmates for the rest of his life. Impossible to know, and thank god we're not one of those parents. It's an utterly appalling case. -
I couldn't give a monkeys about US domestic policy. The issue is that other policy decisions will impact us. What's the answer to the question? Acceptable behaviour from a cabinet minister? It's a yes or no.
-
You overlooked that he is a senior advisor to Trump. A government minister. Would you be cool with a UK cabinet minister having done that?

I'd prefer a long and slow ordeal for monsters like him than the quick way out. -
I'll reword. It staggers me that anyone would dispute that a blatant nazi salute was a nazi salute.
-
Yep! It's hilarious how people get wound up about it.
-
It staggers me that there's still debate about this. It was a nazi salute, clear as day.
-
I think that's his only get out. Deliberate nazi salute, or an unconscious act as a result of a few lines and testosterone overload. Great options for the lad!
-
So who other than Hypo thinks that the Musk nazi salute wasn't?
-
Then what are you banging on about? And it's a forum, I'll comment on your posts regardless of who you intend them for. DM SoG if you want a chat with just him.
-
That's a stretch. Musk started at the chest and thrust out aggressively. That was with meaning. Twice. If, for example, someone starts a salute at neck or chest height it's potentially very different in it's meaning.
-
For comparison, please show the starting point and the movement. Thanks.
-
Me and others are merely commenting on Musk's actions. His intentions and beliefs are unknown, yet you assume them.
-
It can't be a settled issue as people see it differently. I fully agree on the highlighted part, but you seek to debate everything to the nth degree, seemingly not accepting that people do and can have differing opinions. I think it was a nazi salute, you don't, you seemingly don't believe he's a nazi, I don't have any thoughts on whether he is or isn't. Those differences of opinion do not need ongoing discussion and will solve nothing.
-
Ok, so some people agree with you, well done. That doesn't make them or you correct.
-
That's dafter than daft. People don't have to label him a nazi to highlight that he did a nazi salute. That he hasn't clarified his actions doesn't help his cause.
