Where do you expect the Gaza army to hide in Gaza?! Another issue is Israel killing 30 people in a home where someone suspected of having Hamas links might be. Perfectly fine for Israel to arrest thousands of Palestinians and hold them without charge or investigation. We could go round in circles Hypo, but you've got tunnel vision mate.

No soldiers stand around in the open waiting to be shot at. None.

The Death of the Labour Party and the Rebirth of the UK As We Know It

I agree with most of that, although I don't see an alternative to legal migration given our skills shortages. Inward migration is here to stay. On the last bit, I can't see labour doing anything of significance in this term, we're too fucked for that, and there's just not enough money or borrowing capacity. Next time round, the Tories will promise to cut taxes, the masses will like that idea, and there'll waltz straight back in. -
Generally it seems to be ok to be okay (or ambivalent) with Israel's behaviour, but unacceptable/anti semitic to voice objection. Palestinian support In the wider world has historically been shouted down, but fortunately that's changing.

It is stunning. I'm a geology and geography geek so I was in my element. Highly recommended.

I fell asleep so missed them. Gutted. Missed them when I went to Iceland too. The photos look amazing. I'll have to get back to Iceland.

Starmer isn't a socialist. Agreed. Rishi isn't a competent leader or PM. The Tories won't win the election, but it'll be closer than people think. Labour and Lib Dems are in danger of splitting the votes in many seats (including mine - Caroline Noakes will likely lose her seat, but labour haven't got a chance). Labour aren't dead. They'll form the next government. That said, they've been set up to fail my the current muppets and I can only see them lasting a term cos the tax rises needed to rebuild won't sit well with the masses. The Tories have all but killed the UK. Laughable to suggest that they're the party to resurrect it. -

The difference between this and other conflicts is that pretty much all of Gaza has been decimated. Show me another conflict where almost an entire "country" has been flattened in such a one sided way. What's happening in china is a shit comparison, and just made to justify your position.

For context, when we signed Aaron Martin from Eastleigh, he soon got £6k pw, rising to £8k depending on appearances. We were in league 1 then. We'll now be paying kids much more than that. I'd heard that we're paying Jake Vokins £25k. Chelsea paying £30k+ pw to kids is inevitable, and JJM is likely at the top end of their pay scale.
-
Yep, without a doubt.
-
If they're earning the wages of a championship starter, it'll be more than £10k pw. I'm in little doubt that JJM is on much more than that at Chelsea. I'd hazard a guess it's no less than double that. The money on football is absolute madness - £3k+ pw in non league is not unusual.
-
You're making no sense. What makes you think he'd have got regular minutes here this season? SAA, Dibling and Meghoma suggest that he wouldn't. He'll find his level whether he stayed here or went there, he'll get better loan opportunities there, and make more money there. I'm not sure how anyone can credibly argue against that.
-
Dibling, SAA, Meghoma have barely had a sniff here in the championship. JJM will not get a sniff at Chelsea in the PL, and doubtless wouldn't have got a proper one here. He'll get proper money there, and access to the Chelsea network for loans at the right time. The move was a no brainer for the kid, and I don't agree that it's short term greed at all. If he failed here and his level is league 1, he'll end up there when his Chelsea dream ends.

Yep. I was more taken with her name, given that Golan is land occupied by Israel. I wonder where her votes will come from. Germany will be kind, we'll throw her a few, if Cyprus are there they'll lob a few (12 for Greece though). Be interesting to see what other countries do.

There I was desperately trying not to use the words true colours Del, and you tease it out of me:
-
Ffs, don't be daft. It's a thread about a specific country, and a specific situation. What's happening in Saudi is irrelevant. Top trolling though.
-
Yep. We wouldn't give him what other kids were getting, and Chelsea gave him what he wanted. Can't blame the kid for going, and he'll probably feel vindicated seeing how SAA, Dibling and Meghoma have been pushed to the sidelines.
-
You jest, and as much as I won't ever vote Tory, I've still got no idea what labours plan is. The sad thing is, there'll be plenty of dinlo's who look at this, and reducing inflation, and not stop to think who fecked it up initially.

He needs to play and deserves to be more than just to be a squad player. Personally I hope he gets a move somewhere where he'll start.

Interesting move of it happens. I can't see him getting in the team ahead of Porro who's been great.
