I've always been a fan of Ralph, and I still am, but his failure to make a change until it's too late is unbelievable. I feel sorry for him with the situation he's in having two poor keepers on huge wages, but he does not help himself in games like this. How he didn't make a change in the 20 minutes after the Richarlison goal where the game was only trending one way is beyond me.

I don't know how we constantly manage to lose these evenly matched games so easily. Get out there and buy a proper CB to play every week. We all know we're not going to buy a GK so at least persist with the lesser of two evils in Forster.

Stu in for Djenepo and I’d have been happy with that. Ralph doesn’t tend to drop Bednarek so hopefully that reinforces the idea that the CB we’re looking to sign will be first choice.

Dier would be our highest earner and I very much doubt he'd be available on loan given their lack of CB's currently.

I'll be seriously disappointed if we just bring in one more 3rd/4th choice CB to end this window. Think we've done some good work but will be wasting an opportunity there.

I agree with this 100%. The issue we had last year is we had nobody outside of Bertrand/KWP who was competent. Ralph said yesterday that Tino has played plenty on the left so you'd assume he'd be first choice to come in both sides. If we have two injured at the same time then that's seriously bad luck.

Kamara is definitely somebody you could get excited about. I don't personally think Phillips is.

Setting for Salisu, Bednarek, Stephens and a likely cheap back-up option is a relegation mindset.

Forster but they're both a bit shit and will have moments where you want the other in.

Didn't realise Nat Phillips was 24, it'd be pretty embarrassing signing him for £15m off the back of 15 alright games for Liverpool.

Ideally we get 18-20m for him, bring in a CB and DM, maybe another domestic loan and we're all happy.
