Ok hes not been the greatest signing Saints have ever made, but credit where its due in the last "must win" games he has been fantastic and exactly what we need at the moment, so fair play to him long may it continue as it could be the difference between us staying up or going down! When preston scored last weekend he was the one that got the players together and you could see him geeing them up, this is what we need leaders on the pitch someone to grab us by the balls and squeeze

Penalty.

Plymouth 1-0 up already 1 minute in. :\

Hopes high after a convincing win against Preston, and now back down to earth with a defeat to Cardiff.
-
Still to see a better header of a ball or someone that could leap as high and seem to hang there for ages, its great news and something im sure all saints fans will be delighted about.

When lived in cumbria it was 386 miles door to the dell, the M6 got a pounding during those days, so now its peace itself from Fareham to SMS set off at 1.45 and still in the ground by 2.15 instead of up at 4am and back home closer to sunday morning than saturday evening

Beattie does still have a soft spot for us and has said that on many occasions, and it seems hes going to get into trouble for his celebration of "have that you skate ba5tard", so the blue few shouting scummer scummer all day must have been so upset that apparantly a few complained to police what a shame!!!!! Shame they didn't hang on or he had scored a hat-trick that would have made yesterday even better
-
how will you celebrate the next home win

in total shock i would think -
Wins more than his fair share of headers and has the experiance to break the game up which was what we needed at the end of the game, not sure i'd start with him but as a sub hes doing well
-
I want to see passion and fight from our players, and yesterday we saw that from Wotton, ok hes not the fastest or most skillful but give me passion anyday, and i couldn't give a **** what the swansea manager had to say as he needs to look at his own players ie their no 7 who was trying to get our lot booked etc. We need more fight to get us out the ****

Saints 2-2 Swansea - Post Match Reaction
fareham saint phil replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Yeah, well, it was very good, Wotton, Gillett & Saeijis looked very good, Saganowski had a poor game but scored 2, but if he plays ****e for the rest of the season and keeps scoring I don't think anyone will care, + I'd love to hear the commentary for the first goal "And he's taken on the keeper, open goal, two get onto the line, the keepers up, the keeper slides, Saganowski takes on the keeper, he waits a second with an open goal, the two defenders on the line just waiting for the shot, Saganowski waits another few seconds and then finally smashes it home." -
Good luck Ed always enjoy your Saints comments, remember him once talking to redknapp when he had gone back, and redknapp even said something like, i'll get no joy from you being a southampton supporter, top man Ed not redknapp keep fighting

I have to say it is saddening to read so many "passionate" Saints supporters dont even know of John Corbett and what he did for the club on many occasions, surfice to say that if he hadn't done what he done no one would have heard of rupert ****ing lowe as there wouldn't be a southampton football club in exsistance. Fair point to question Mary Corbetts abilty to run a football club but certainly not to question her loyality and passion towards this once great club. This is not putting her on a pedestal or handing her the mother theresa award for services to mankind, but she has had her say just like everyone on here has
-
On reading that title i had a brief moment of happiness, it was heaven
-
Mary Corbett and her family only have the clubs best interests at heart, that cannot be said about lowe and his puppet. If it hadn't been for the corbett family we wouldn't have a football club to argue over

Time for some good old fashioned name dropping
fareham saint phil replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I know its not ex-saint related, but being involved in a youth football club in Fareham, and as fareham is mainly blue i had asked port*mouth if we could have one of their players to present our kids with their footie trophies and raffle prizes, in response they said no and if we brought a shirt i could have it signed!!! (Saints sent a signed shirt for nothing) we were going to be stuck, someone mentioned that Lee Bradbury, current Bournmouth and ex-skate, lived nearby. Through a few people i managed to get hold of him and he came along for the evening and was fantastic, had a word with all the kids and shook more hands than a politician. For an ex-skate hes a top bloke -
we are going to win 2-0 end of discussion COYR

Met Mike Channon and what a top bloke he is as is MLT who is as polite and down to earth a bloke as you could ever wish to meet, he even let my daughter put a hair clip in his hair when the saints team had played cricket against the Burridge team. Saddest ever meeting was going into the cafe on ports*outh harbour and being served by Bobby Stokes, had a lovely chat with him, lovely friendly bloke, but just so sad to see the man that gave me the happiest day as a saints supporter fallen on hard times, few months later he died and sadly that memory stays with me now.
