  1. The biggest tactical rror was not addressing the defence in the early part of the transfer window. We got away with it last season, but had to bolster things up in January. I constantly warned about our complaceny and have been proven right...unfortunately.
  2. You think people would put their petty prejudices before the good of the club ? Did you learn nothing from the Spring of 2004 ?
  3. We should wait unitl Christmas before we judge Adkins...imo
  4. Let me qualify. Staying up is obviously better than going down. Being relegated is not good, but I don't think it will be a disaster because I firmly believe that we will bounce back. I also believe that we will have plannwed for a possible relegation scemnario and that we will hold together most of the good young players because we have a long term plan. We could even recall Billy Sharp if we wanted and i am sure that jay Rod would do wonders. We could lose Ramirez, but he would be a luxury player in the NPC. So, relax.
  5. I think people need to relax a little. If we stay up this season I see it very much as a bonus. Going down is not the disaster it was last time we got relegated from the Premier beacuse I am sure this time we have factored in the possibility and have a good solid plan to get back up again.
  6. Need to bring in Chaplow to shore things up. It is a brutal league.
  7. That goal by Channon was sublime, what a team we had. BTW, are Liverpool wearing our current yellow kit ?
  8. Aye ! Aye ! Calm down, just calm down . You're in scouseland land now. everyone just nice and calm, aye !
  9. Very big name up here in Norwich. A real character.
  10. Draino goes down in history as the bedwetter and drama queen who spoke to soon !
  11. Looks increasingly as though we got promoted a season too soon. Still, I know it is not a popular opinion, but I half think the management suspected we would get relegated with the bonus of the Premier compensation. we have to be strong as a club, but it is not going to be pleasant if we stay rooted to the foot of the table !
  12. This is a real test for saints fc. Lose heavily in this one and it is going to be a long season when we MUST stick together.
  13. Agreed . Rewriting history or their part in it, is an art for some. They boasted about stopping the appointment of Hoddle in 2004, but when this led to the clubs demise they tried to re write or bury their part in the whole episode. Oh, and of course discredit posters like me who hold aloft the beacon of truth !!!
  14. Simple. Judge NA after 10 games not 4.
  15. OK. If Cortese was serious about going fo a top half position this season, why didn't he spend more money on the defence and goalkeeper ? I reckon he is taking a gamble on staying up with a relegation then promotion plan very much the second option if needed.
  16. I think Glenn hoddle could do a job, but not yet. Give NA a fair chance imo

Wasn't so much the detail, but the principle.....frustrated that we did not sort out CBN in the summer !
  18. Very good analysis and of course it is those little lapses that are the difference between the premirship and the NPC. We have had a baptism of fire playing the top 3 clubs, we will do better and i am sure the seaason is far from over. Keep the faith !
  19. Er No ! That is the attitude that led to our woes in 2004 !

Why the f*** are we having this conversation now ! Jeez he should have been signed in the 4 months we had in the summer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Nope. I think NC and our backers are looking long term. We are purchasing in good qaulity young players who lack experience at the moment but will come good. I think that we are giving this season a good go, but we will not throw money away for short term gains. Also, I think it is too ealry to judge our team against the tams we have played so far.
  22. Stick with NA...I agree with Kraken. My only doubt is that if we have a kicking all season that NA will be 'shot to bits' and may himself not be in the right frame of mind for next season.
  23. I think this is has been how the management have viewed things since the end of last season.
  24. It was very predictable that we wopuld lose to Arse, Manure and Citeh. The Wigan game really was the test and we failed. Lose our next two and we should sound the alarm, don lifejackets and man the lifeboats. Doesn't give me any pleasure, but 'i told you so'.
  25. If you read this thread and others over the summer a small number of posters warned of the dangers ahead. At the moment they look to be right, including my own predictions but lets see after 10 matches when we have played some of the weaker teams.
