What's the point of these "reality checks"? Who cares if people were confident of a win before the game yesterday? We were the home side and one of the most in form sides in the division. Most fans of all teams would be confident in that position. We're a lower mid table side capable of losing games like we did yesterday. No need for these ridiculous inquests and reality checks. No one thinks that we would never lose a game.

Fox is a terrible left back. Slow, weak and poor positional sense. Everything you don't want in a left back.

Shut up commie

Listen mate, if a massive club came in for Shaw this summer, he'll be gone despite what Morgan is saying in his Pro Saints propoganda video. Stop living in your pie in the sky fanatasy land, pal.

That's a lot of stuff which people aren't saying. What are these 100+ posts about then? -

Pochettino targets Champions League spot next season

The amount of spend needed in order for us to compete for a Champions League spot next year is not known by anyone on here. Pulling random figures like £150M out of the air is pointless. We could spend another £30M on top of what we have really wisely and be able to compete or we could spend £100M and not get close. -
Other than the title indicating the event at which the OP saw Dave Merrington, the entire thread is about Dave Merrington. No religious content in the OP at all.

A momentous day for SWF! But I think you should start criticising our summer transfer activity early this year so that normal service can be resumed

I quoted your post I replied to and that's not what you wrote

There are degrees. Battery (which is what you describe), ABH and GBH, all defined by the severity of injury caused to the victim. Call 999 and claim someone has bitten you and left no lasting mark or damage and see what response you get. Also, I guess you consider every sending off for "violent conduct" in football to amount to assault and therefore all worthy of a 10 game ban, using your logic?

Hopefully not on Alex Song! : ) -
Suarez bite him but not hard enough to cause any damage at all. If someone slaps someone or pushes someones face away on a football pitch, they are red carded and that's that. No one starts comparing it to a full right hook to the jaw and starts calling it assault. Why are people not acknowledging that as far as bites go, it has to be the tamest I've seen. If someone did that to me at footy I would just laugh and think the person was a right weirdo but certainly wouldn't feel like I'd been assaulted.

I agree mate, Ivanovic was not hurt and it looked like something which you would find in a primary school playground. People making out that it's one of the most disgusting thing they have seen on a football pitch are just bandwagon jumping. Even Souness said it was a disgrace after the game but him breaking that lads jaw in a European cup tie in the 80's was far worse. Ultimately it was a weird and stupid thing for Suarez to do but 10 games? The standard 3 match ban for violent conduct would have been appropriate IMO.

Why would we do a pitch invasion for finishing lower mid table?

Well it seems more evident now that this wasn't an attack with the strings being pulled from a far via any Islamist group or affliated Nation. Whilst Islam may have been a driver, the marginalisation and failure to integrate in the community around you could be considered more similar to a Columbine style attack over a 9/11.

I think you have the option to send a cheque in the post.

To be fair pap, I think Verbal has summed up your performance on this thread very well. Your aggressive and ill thought out replies only serve to highlight this. At the end of the day, an attrocity has happened and within a few hours you had started a rather confused and dis-organised conspiracy argument, whilst dismissing the often more informed views of others with distain and irrelevant nonsense about internet identities etc. It's not open minded to immediately go looking for a Government conspiracy in aftermath of such events, despite what you may think.
