The ambition and interest of the forum left with Cortese

Austin will on talksport after 10pm tonight in case anyone is tuning in.
-
Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at Spurs
-
He miss more shots on target than any other premier league side so far this season. Added to Pelle's knee issue, I think he's going to be a huge signing and hopefully makes an immediate impact this season.
-
Wanyama is good player and there is an incentive for him to out a shift in today as despite him seemingly wanting out, he'll not want to play second fiddle to Romeo for the rest of the season.
-
The slow motion TV angles are all lies I tell you.
-
STILL a Forster/Davis bench combo! Are we ever going to see the day when we have a good keeper in goal and a fairly competent one on the bench?
-
Wrong, he turned up 10 hours late to a prearranged meeting 2 mins to kick-off. I read it in the Daily Mail.
-
I wouldn't bother, he's on here every week talking some guff about angles, retina HD quality, the shape and size of the moon or the glare from the sun or some other excuse for poor decisions from well paid professionals. He's the only person I've heard claim that Ayew of Swansea didn't trip himself over

Rom has to start ahead of Wanyama for this.

Confirmed: Caulker loan cancelled; Moves on loan to Liverpool
Dig Dig replied to Maggie May's topic in The Saints
It won't go down as a monumental mistake as he won't play as soon as their CB's are fit. Is Caulkers one England cap supposed to mean something about his ability? I guess it shouldn't surprise us to see Nugent on his way to Mersey side? -

Yes, because an average CB on loan who barely plays is comparable to an attacking midfielder who actually does play -
Klopp was impressed with him in the 6-1 rout. Maybe he wants to build the confidence of his strikers up in training.

We won't fall into that trap because of our superior scouting set up, best academy in Europe and our state of the art facilities. We are the showcase club that everyone just below Champions League level wants to join.

I think it's amusing to see (I presume a grown man?) having little hissy fits because they can't handle the fact that posters post negative things when their team isn't playing very well and has been knocked out 3/4 competitions we entered by early January. This is against a back drop of a possible sub-optimal working relationship between our manager and the club more broadly. What do you expect to see discussed and written on a forum?
-
Hesketh is 19 which is quite old if Utd were only considering him as an "academy" prospect. It would be different if he was 14, 15, 16 but he's at the stage in his career where he would really need to make a breakthrough pretty soon.

Selling players isn't a strategy. The only way it could be is if we were to look to consistently sell players whilst they are at their peak values and replace them with academy produced players or players at a lesser value but who you will re-sell at a far higher price. We took advantage of what looks like a one time opportunity which came about from having a group of players who were mostly England Internationals on decent length contracts and who were playing in a "fashionable" flavour of the month team which attracted a lot of attention in the build up to a World Cup. The club tried to then frame it as a deliberate strategy but less than two years from that point, Wanyama is the last player of that team who will go for decent whack (although due to his contract situation, probably not for much more than we paid for him) and Mane is the only signing since who looks anywhere near able to fulfill the remit of the "strategy".

Not really any clear links regarding in-comings at the moment. Just chat of Koeman speaking to the powers that be about potentials yet we are a 1/3 through the window already.

We're going to be the EPL Green Bay Packers.
-
People do make their own minds up yet that doesn't stop you squinnying on every other thread about how mean and orrible everyone is being about our atrocious form and hugely underwhelming season.

He'll most likely start in one of the next two and will almost certainly be subbed in the one he does start.

We've got a really good media team and we treat people really nicely.
