Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Dig Dig replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Don't forget the blacks as well. They could be straight out of Boko Haram. -
Why did Mane look so Pi*!ed off , even after his goals?
Dig Dig replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
It was just a 2 second shot with no context....Someone could have just said something to him etc. I'm sure he was happy to change the game and win. Wouldn't read too much into it. -

Micky Adams would walk here for the job and would bring some passion to the role.

Secular Southampton FC social media accounts
Dig Dig replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Why would you thank a mythical being? This makes no sense and should have no place on a secular football forum. -
Guess he'd struggle even more in an u-13 game then
-
I'm sure all his PL minutes under the belt are adding up to something special next season. Especially the way he is gelling with the 352 system in which his predecessor Mane hardly ever plays. Can't wait to see him raring to go from the 1st game of next season.
-
Do you remember when an 8th place finish under Poch was nothing special?
-
I wouldn't play Long over Mane if he needs to be wide in a front 3. He has always struggled in that position and has only really found consistency since playing in a front two.
-
We definitely looked a bit better after Davis came on, shape wise. As you say though, we were still miles of Bournemouth in terms of intensity and Davis put in a poor performance generally.
-
I would personally go 433 which I think is the best formation for the players we now have available. Play Pelle through the middle, Tadic left and Mane right and see if that combo can come good again. Without Wanyama, I don't trust our ability to play with two CM's at the mo.
-
On another note and as mentioned on here, has any mod explained why the post match discussion thread was closed yet?
-
5 at the back masked a lack of creativity in the side and a lack if quality in CM. We've been excellent at defending our own third whilst creating the odd chance for two for a win or a draw but the quality of football overall hasn't been there. Now that Chelsea 2nd half and Bournemouth tonight have exploited the right spaces, will be interesting to see how we line up in the next few.

Plus they no doubt love it as well. Perfect excuse to look hard in front of their mates. Pathetic.
-
It would be a great move for us but I think he'll end up at a big club like Utd or Chelsea.

We are actively up for sale

Post-Match Reaction: Swansea City 0-1 SAINTS
Dig Dig replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He never had possession of the ball. He decided to come off his line and Fonte was only ever going for the ball. Poor decision by the keeper ultimately so he shouldn't get that much protection. -
FFP, new contracts and the momey in the prem now...
Dig Dig replied to Saint86's topic in The Saints
I think he means he will be getting that until he is 34. -
Maybe not at the appeal itself but the clubs view of the incident and likelihood of an appeal is quite apparent and relevant to this discussion as to why the club are not appealing.....presumably because Koeman doesn't have a problem with the decision.
-
You don't think that Koeman seemingly having no problem with the sending off after the game and also mentioning that he'll be speaking to Victor about his responsibilities would have no bearing on an appeal? Surely it's the first indication of the clubs stance on the matter. Edit: quoted trousers by mistake.
-
Probably because Ron said after the game that it was a challenge which Victor "couldn't do" or something to that effect so it would be a bit strange for the club to appeal if the manager endorses the decision to send him off immediately after the game.

Can we PAY Arsenal/Tottenham to take Wanyama away from us?
Dig Dig replied to Singapore Saint's topic in The Saints
That was never a red. Yellow card offence, nothing more. -
I liked Fosters on Shirley highstreet

It is somewhat about timing though. Once a player approaches the last 18 months of a contract their agents are then in overdrive and the player starts to gain more and more control. Spurs with Ali is a good example, they've wasted no time in offering a new contract as soon as it became apparent that he can exceed at the highest level.
