Not quite, if you look at some of the comments on this thread, a lot of it is OTT nonsense such as Mane being as bad as Mayuka or even Ali Dia and that he "isn't a footballer". And as for Koeman supposedly "calling it" in tandem with the fans, again, utter nonsense. He's clearly been a big fan of Mane since he arrived. He left him out of one game and people were questioning why he was playing him again. The knee jerk hyperbole about the lad is just plain idiocy.

He was excellent today, won most things in the air and involved throughout. Should have scored the chance to make it 3-0 at least. As a signing, an excellent replacement for Lambert especially for what he cost. He do need another option as we are as reliant on him as we were with Lambert.

It's a great sight watching Vic boss a midfield, he's an absolute monster. That touch away from Sanchez....

To add, a very composed and mature performance from Targett, impressive.

Excellent defensive display against an excellent Chelsea team. We restricted them to one effort on goal all game. We could have done a little more in terms of getting to 2nd balls quicker but the defensive shape and discipline of the team was excellent all game.

Of course Mane is a good player, he came with a good pedigree and is an International standard player. Calling him the new Ali Dia or whatever is just a joke.

The set back is a shame because Rodriguez would have done an excellent front sweeper role with the likes of Morgan and Wanyama recently unavailable.

Pelle has proved the better value so far in that we are dependent on him in the much the same way we were with Lambert. A great replacement for sir Rickie.

It's not picking on a player, it's a question around players being rested in a period when we are thread bare. In addition, it's not a unique situation for Tadic, there are plenty of players around the country who play week in week out.

Very poor IMO, yes he has played a lot of games but then so have plenty of other players in the league, including those who play more games in Europe. I don't understand how we can afford to give players a break with the number of injuries and suspensions we have at the moment.

People too quickly get carried away or dive into despair. As we've seen, a lot can change in a week in football.

It's already happening unfortunately. He'll get slaughtered each time something he tries doesn't come off.
