  1. Maybe they are a Saints vendor?
  2. Not with cynicism but with realism. Players signing long term contracts is nothing but positive but Lallana a side, we are yet to prove that we have a strong desire to ensure that our young academy products will be playing 150+ games for us before moving to bigger clubs should the opportunity arise. In any case, very pleased to see JWP sign up.
  3. True, I knew the tide had turned when we signed Shaw and Lallana to new long term contracts.
  4. @tancredipalmeri: Southampton close to get Djuricic from Benfica on loan with option to buy
  5. Despite the fact that he's been doing that role very well for us since 2011?
  6. That's clearly nonsense isn't it?
  7. Happy to listen to him when it's positive stuff I bet. LOLZ.
  8. He's coming back from Injury. Wasn't that his first game back in the squad?
  9. Reed, Davis, Toby and JWP have only been used as a CM when all three of Cork, Wanyama and Morgan were out. Before his injury, he was definitely 3rd choice for that role.
  10. How are you sure of that? We don't have any transfer funds so it's not a given that we could out do Swansea contract wise.
  11. Just because he wouldn't be wanted by Utd, Arsenal etc, it doesn't make him "run of the mill". Shall we not be bothered by anyone going unless they are good enough to play for a traditional top side? He has been an important player for us for a number of seasons and as others have noted on this thread, is only really behind Vic and Morgan as our most effective CM. Some of our best performances have involved Cork, he's bossed many a midfield and it would be a shame to see him go.
  12. A massive part of our success over the last few years has been built on sports science and analysis. It's an important part of any elite and professional sport yet you say it's overated? Are you Harry Redknapp?
  13. Masonic parking issues are all the rage with the kids these days
  14. The players are heavily incentivised on the league performance and not the cups. No matter what side is put out or what Koeman says, the players haven't performed to their high standards regardless.
  15. Shaw had 4 years on a contract. Clyne has until next summer.

No, his movement and runs in behind the defenders are too intelligent for the other Japanese players. He's too good for his own good.
  17. I've not really seen anything overly controversial regarding Elia. Mountains over molehills IMO. Osvaldo is on a completely differen't level.
  18. Jeffrey, whether it was percieved as a firesale or not is largely irrelevant. Selling 5 first team players, losing the manager and cosching staff and only having two largely unknown replacements (at the time) wasn't s good situation to be in.
  19. Promotion 100%
  20. The players are heavily incentivised on the league performance and not the cups so I would never count on us "going for the cups" whilst that's the case. That's regardless of the team selection.
  21. Yea, we're really going for the cups as shown by our stellar performances against Sheffield Utd and Ipswich Town. You can tell how badly the players and manager want it.
  22. Strongarm needs to continue tweeting riveting things like this please: @ConnorArmstrong: ********, just realised I didn't check the timer on the washing machines The king of **** twitter
  23. Yep
