Wave 8M in what is effectively monopoly money (given the amount of money in the Prem these days) about and people would be willing to see a club legend sold for no apparent reason other than the fact he's 32.

Why would anyone snap anyones arm off for 8M for Rickie? It's not our money and who else could we bring in for that who is as good? Let Rickie play down his contract, he deserves it and I'm sure we don't need the money so who benefits?

Was thinking the same, the myth that he is useless and a waste of space solidified itself on here only after people were judging his 10 min cameo's. Had a bigger contribution in the 2012 compilation as well.

We're not just comparing their prem contributions though. Adam was good last season until he got injured and then struggled a little but he has nothing to prove to us, already a saints legend IMO and our best player.
