That is done and dusted, barring a little fuss over nothing.

He's a very, very good prospect. There seems to be less excitement over this one than Butland, which is odd, seeing as Butland played in exactly the same league as Gazzannga last year! and I'm pretty confident that he will cost a hell of alot less than Butland.

Nah, seems to be identical to Jemal now the translations have become clearer. That fell through because there was some sort of odd third party payment that they wanted us to pay at the end of the deal. This seems completely identical to me. Will be interesting to see what exactly the third part is...... and I'll echo also what someone else said, this is exactly why we only annouce deals when it's done, dusted and signed! All the people wanting constant transfer updates are living in another planet, the club would look like fools if they had announced similar to what his parent club did over the weekend.

As I said a few days back, this started to scream of amar jemal

Wilfred Zaha - Crystal Palace (linked in The Sun)

No better than Steve?? It wont' take much to be more influential than him. One of our most underwhelming signings from last year, and that's why the RM position is a priority to fix. -
Nice one rangrers, bloody idiots.

To be honest, I think the RM slot is an absolute priority this summer. We mixed and matched so much in that position last year and not once did we have a consistent formula. We need a proper out and out right winger as a priority signing IMO. -

That guy on the Palace forum was also ''ITK'' regarding the Fonte deal all those years back, remember the name. -

I've never rated Kirean Richardson, the definition of average. Gallas is not the player he once was. -
Do you support anyone, or anything, ever?

There's a post on Ugly Inside that we've bid £3m for K Schmeichal

There is no way Leicester are paying him that, their highest paid player is Beckford who earns 35k p/w -

Adomah is a good old fashioned winger, not afraid to run at full backs and beat them. Love those sort of direct wingers, and he also has the ability to cross and beat them too. -
It was in one of the newspaper articles I think, and to be honest most wing backs/full backs are versatile to play either side, but I can imagine Buttner will be primarily used on the left and we go out and buy an additional RB!

Fast, agile player, bit short, just 5ft 9. But he is strong and has great stamina and endurance. Very consistent player and has a high work rate. Mentally strong and not complacent. He lacks a bit in technique, but can throw in a good cross. His passing is decent and he can shoot from distance. However, his tactical insight is below par. He still needs mature a bit in that department. Like i said good pace, great tackling, Man marking is above par just his height and his jumping can be a disadvantage. From a fan at his current club.

He captained this team to 3 trophies in 3 seasons, personally I'd be a bit miffed if he was just pushed out of the door. One of the players who quite clearly deserves an opportunity, not a week-in week-out opportunity, but I sill think he'll play in some capacity next year.

TBH they scored their penalty 5mins later, on the same pitch. He looked nervous as hell before he struck that, but that's not saying he'll miss when he next takes one - it's just that his first didn't inspire any confidence! -
Thanks for that, really good to hear that.
-
I think he could do a job for a Barnsley-like team, but some fans need to be aiming their expectations a hell of a lot higher! We've got some fans who have it too high, and some who have expectations too low! Meet us in the middle somewhere...
-
Exactly, just because he played in the SPL he's been shrugged at. I'd bet you any money that Rangers (or even Celtic) would have beaten us last year (when they still had their team).
-
Craine is not good enough for the PL, why would you even suggest it?? I don't give a **** if he's free, I'd sh!t myself if he ever got into a PL starting lineup for us. Gone are the days when we fill the squad up with players who aren't good enough, just to 'make up'' the numbers.

LOL @ some of the Man Utd fans comments in that thread, they haven't got a scooby have they? In reply to Norbert Bugeja, Gzira Malta - Ronaldo is not playing because he is going backwards, when did he last score a goal (one that was relavant) or even delevered the created a goal, Hardly ever, I would sell him tommorow.
-
In fact, he didn't fail in the premier league. That's just a silly non-educated comment to make. He was outstanding for Villa as a young player, and as keeps being mentioned, he was being linked to some decent clubs during that time. Villa fans were stunned and shocked that he was sold for £6m to Fulham, but Fulham didn't see the best of him because they had a clueless manager in charge and then followed it with a succession of managers, that's not an environment to thrive really. He's gone to Rangers, who are one of the biggest clubs in Britain and became their captain on the pitch. That's not to be shrugged at, and for a club of our level and where we've come from, this is a pretty impressive deal to make. Sometimes I wonder just who some fans expect us to sign.
-
He was, that's the one. Very highly rated when he was at Villa, was pretty good when he played too. I believe Fulham then paid £6m for him, and it didn't quite work out there as they had a succession of managers. He then went and made a name for himself in the SPL.
