There was a rumour I heard a while back stating that one of our midfielders would be going the other way, couldn't quite work out who at the time - but it was always likley to be Chaplow due to his burnley connections. Jay Rod would be a stunning signing. I really, really, really rate him so much as a player. Top top class, will be an England international at some point. Hopefully with us.

Cracking signing for Swansea, very very good player. Can see them establishing themselves in this league as they have a very good nucleus there. They could probably do with another goal scorer to compliment Graham, but they do have a nifty little team there.

Would agree with the comments on Adam Johnson, the squad should be the other way round. Downing should be the standby winger. Johnson was more positive in his cameo than Downing was all game. Just a total non-football player, similar to Henderson. 2 players that you watch and just think ''what do they actually do??''

Hard to say about mid-week games, these' aren't scheduled in at the release as far as I know. You get bouts of midweeks games throughout the season due to postponements, FA cup games etc etc...but from the 18th I'd imagine everything will be set to Saturday 3pm KO, until Sky and go get their hands on it.

The press are the same, every 2 years. They will dig up as much **** as possible prior to a tournament. I have no idea why, they're English and you'd think they'd want to support the team. But no, they're more interested in creating juicy headlines which get sales. Then it's kind of a win-win, as when they fail as they want us to, they'll have more cracking headlines to come out with.

Well we tried and failed with a bid of that size, so they will need to try harder.

Spurs want 6millish apparently, not a bad player but hasn't ever been given the chance at Spurs I don't think. He did well at Ipswich so you can't throw the ''He's not suited to English football'' argument at it. I think in the right environment and with regular football he'd be class.

The dates were announced on the big screen during the Coventry game. Middle of june for Renewals, and middle of July for new - someone did write it up with the exact dates. Prices will be announced a week or a few days before the renewals I'd have thought.
