I'm stunned at his lack of impact at Stoke to be honest. He was terrific at Spurs and lost his way through injury, it seems that the same injury problems have followed him to Stoke. There's no doubting that he is a terrific player though, a proper premier league box to box midfielder. If he can get over his injury problems I'd take him in a shot.

He'd only be a loan here, and Chelsea wouldn't want him to sit on the bench. He made a total clanger last night though to be fair, but he's proven to be a very good keeper for Atheltic Madrid. I'm sure Chelsea see him as the long-term replacement for Cech.

Actually, thinking about it, Leeds at home on the first day was pretty awesome wasn't it? They didn't know what the hell had hit them and it totally set the tone for the season. You could sense the confident flow through the players after that performance as they all believed they were good enough for this level. We totally took the **** out of Leeds that day.
