Keep him where he is and let him roam, he can then come in centre and influence situations too.

Very stupid idea. It'll make all games slower and much duller, guaranteed.
-
I think this deal was over a long time ago tbh.

I am 99.999% sure that if he had the choice, Surman would have stayed. Gobern wasn't ever going to be good enough for us, at least it's freed up some squad space to sign a new CM now.

Benni McCarthy? CHDAJFU?

I Would Like To See No New Signings Or Departures Of Note!

Yep...this is why I don't get peoples panic, we don't have to do major surgery. We just need 3 or 4 top top quality players to improve our level, failure to get them isn't going to be a disaster, but we won't be at the top end like we'd all love us to be. People moaning about ''the state of our squad'' - take a look at the skates, they look set to be down to 7 players. Now that's a serious case of rebuilding and they've only signed 1 so far. -
I'd say Adam and Chambo would walk into 90% of championship teams. We're very lucky to have been promoted with players of that level, they're clearly more than good enough for this league.

Fantastic post, make it a sticky! -
Championship fixtures released - Leeds at home first

We will be no where near the relegation zone next season. -
I've had it with this club, this, coupled with them not letting me know what players they want to sign has finished me off.

You won't get that anymore though, so anyone expecting bits of news to leak out is going to be disapointed. We've seen it in the last 2 transfer windows, it's players we've not even specualted about that you hear about maybe 1 or 2 hours before it's on the OS - up until then it's done as it should be. TBF Adkins and co have been on holiday, he's back now working in the BG....but managers don't interview at this sort of time, I can gaurentee that if they did one of the questions would be ''are you close to signing anyone?'' - and the response would be that there are are irons in the fire and we'll know when there is something to know..etc...
-
Absolute rubbish, no offence.
-
Some of their fans are disappointed with the signing. Just how out of touch are those morons? They're lucky they can sign anyone, but they still seem to expect the best.

No disrespect, but it's great to actually see a league table without the likes of Dagenham and Redbridge, Yeovil, Walsall, Oldham, Tranmere etc....
-
Nothing to read into there.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2002846/Liverpool-bid-Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain.html?ITO=1490 a 40% sell on clause - woah.

Bit harsh on big sam! He hasn't even managed a game yet.
-
Lerner has cocked up there in the last 18 months for the way he treated MoN, the cutback of transfers and the farce of the GH appointment - as harsh as it is, his illness was a convenient get out for them.
-
He's expected to go there.

What a strange sunday.

Now brums manager, alex mcleish has resigned.
-
Now that is a club which interferes too much with the manager, Davies never had any scope to build a team and buy who he wanted. I thought he'd have walked before being sacked though tbf. Forest fans are fuming about this (after taking a quick look on their forum)

Fans will always over-rate players at their club. There is no way Lambert is one of the best players outside of the premiership. He's a good player for us and I love him, but let's be realistic - he's not in the top 100. Fonte has been a decent Championship CB - but has a way to go before proving he's one of the best outside the premiership. The gulf between L1 and the premiership is enormous. I think the list is quite accurate and of-course they're all going to be subject of transfer speculation - they're all very talented and sought after players.

totally agree.
