  1. Wow, you have an interesting friend there. I've never noticed myself, nor could I give a damn!
  2. Absolutely no idea what game you were watching...sorry.

    lol.
  4. What are you on about now?
  5. Ok...we get it?
  6. It's not a player.
  7. Looks nothing like Vossen or Gorrks, probably just a member of Cortese's team.
  8. tbh I found it staggering how so many people had dropped him from their choice of teams, not just from the 11...but from the subs. He'll play most of the season for us, baring injury.
  9. I would be staggered if we signed him, He's being tracked by the likes of Everton and Juventus. FWIW I don't know who they panned to on sky, but It's probably not anyone to get excited about! If it was a potential new signing they'd be locked away in a box.
  10. Apparently though Cortese loves the spot-light, loves the attention....yet Sky don't even really know what he looks like, took them 2 attempts to find him!
  11. There have been articles like that for the last 6 months, nothing has ever happened. I'm pretty sure the press haven't got a clue.
  12. Yep, exactly. This is the same paper that said ''Alex will join on the 1st of July, done, 100% etc..." Don't read anything into Adkins comments either, he never comments on speculation for incoming or outgoing players. He never has done. Adkins did confirm y/day howerver that Chambo was injured, which is why he missed the game, but he was out jogging with Barnard and the physio on thursday and friday so they're ''close''.
  13. Bit of both. They were lacking a real attacking outlet without Bechio and Somma....but we did a great job on both Gradel and Snodgrass to really limit their effect on the game, and it worked. They only ever looked dangerous once those 2 got on the ball.
  14. I thought he was quality. That's what really strong competition does, everyone raises their game when they get their chance.
  15. You make a good point, agree with that. He was fine today and he's a terrific prospect, excited about what he can achieve if he keeps working.
  16. Never doubted him, knew he'd start and knew he'd do well at this level. He's our captain for a reason and he leads by example, as he did all 2nd half of last season.
  17. Sharp is a very injury prone player.
  18. Lambo looks like a different player from the guy who started last season. Really slim.
  19. Yep, headed it into the ground...and it bounced up over the bar. Great chance. He did alright today, couple of dodgy moments on the deck but I honestly wasn't worried with him in the team. Think back to the likes Bennett and Makin as a CB partnership and then you realise how lucky we are now! He's still young, still learning and it wasn't a ''massive'' test for him today, although I think he'll hold is own up against the big strikers of this league as he's terrific in the air. It's a great story though, playing for a local team in Eastleigh and 18months or so later playing in front of sky cameras in the championship for Southampton. Shows all players in these little local teams that anything is possible.
  20. It was a terrific start. It shows what momentum can do to a club, and we just have to make sure we keep this momentum going as long as we can. I didn't think there was a stand out player (although lallana was class) - it was more of a team effort. Everyone working their socks off for each other, closing down, not letting the likes of Gradel and Snodgrass have any time on the ball - and without those two, Leeds were truly toothless. We had a really good game plan today, were solid defensively but did overplay it at times in and around the back - a couple of moments for Martin in particular. But I don't really have many complaints at him, he's a great talent. In the air he was dominant and he reads the game very well. Gets caught out at times by pace and nimble strikers....but I think he's a terrific talent and will be a real asset in the future for sure. Lambo was also good today, he didn't grab the headlines with the goals...but his hold up play, positioning off Connolly was terrific at times - that little ball for Lallana's goal was perfect, and it shows what you can achieve when players have that understanding after having played with each other for years. Still - it's only 1 game, only the start. We will lose games this season, and concede goals. We'll be up...and down, but I'm confident that we'll be in and around where we want to be come the end of the season.
  21. woohoo we're above the skates. First time in years...!
  22. You won't get an answer, they come out with big statements like this and then scurry away, never backing it up with any substance.
  23. Ok - apart from that, I'm pretty sure he's been right about things in the past.
  24. This thread is the biggest backtrack in the history of this forum. It was started off by moaning about all NC has done wrong, and ends with the same poster saying he likes him, he likes what he's done and now the thread title has been changed to include a ''to''. That's what happens when you have weak points!
  25. He's been right about things in the past. Hope it's true!!!!
