It would be more down to the fact that West Ham are a bigger club than us, and are expected to go straight back up to the premiership. We've just been promoted, you never know how it could end up. Bit of a gamble, and if he likes to play it safe then he'll go to a club that have a real shot at the top 2 spots.

Well exactly, but we have fans that would moan either way. This is exactly why transfers should be kept silent until 100%, and i'm fairley confident this will happen as Cork has no where else to go and he's on record stating that he wants to get it sorted for pre-season.

Don't agree with that at all. He'd walk into every championship team, and quite a few premiership teams. He's not the ''top level'' player he once was, but we're not playing at the top level so he'd be a great asset. You can't pass up the oppertunity to sign quality like Riise, and you can't rely just on youth. Look what happend the last time we tried that!!

tbf Clubs have had long enough to bid for him, Burnley want him but obviously don't have the money. The fact we've annouced it makes me believe we're almost there. I'd be totally devestated if he signs for someone else now, and it'll show why the club needs to keep quiet until it's 100%!!!.

Pretty much expect this to be a done deal. We never annouce officially until we're almost there. + we're the only club that have actually had permission to speak to him and his agent.

TBF Adkins should have known the lads personality and attitude from the off anyway, seeing as he worked with him for a few years.
