I don't think Cork had much of a choice, we were the only club in for him. I'm pretty sure that he'd have gone to Burnley if they made an acceptable bid, he was settled up there with his life - but luckily we were the only ones to agree with chelsea, and the rest is history.

I believe some people are desperate for things to start going tits up, just so they can justify their outlandish views. Possibly. In a way you can understand him, he's worked all his career to get into the premiership - if I was him i'd want to try and give it a crack, he might never get another chance. I think he'd have wanted a massive wedge to drop down again.

He was terrific when Leicester initially had him on loan. A real nippy striker who got almost 15 goals IIRC. they spent 3m big ones on him, but he didn't really light up the league the next season (mainly due to Sven arriving and players like Yakubu pushing him out)
