  1. Interesting, Solent are usually pretty much bang-on when they make statements like they did though. Maybe he was there till 5pm, and backtracked late in the evening and decided it wasn't for him? Would be surprised, but delighted, if it happens now.
  2. I agree with that, would have thought Eagles could have demanded around £3m on his own. If this is true I can see the money being offered very attractive to Burnley.
  3. I don't think Cork had much of a choice, we were the only club in for him. I'm pretty sure that he'd have gone to Burnley if they made an acceptable bid, he was settled up there with his life - but luckily we were the only ones to agree with chelsea, and the rest is history.
  4. Bring back Dexter!
  5. Would you prefer he upped and left, the Liebherr's sold the club on, and we ended up being owned by Pinnacle, or a hedge fund? I'm astonished by people who cannot see what a lucky position we're in at the moment. Have a quick search across other teams forums and you'll start to realise what I mean.
  6. And all of your points are flawed by the way, but don't let that get in the way of a good Cortese bashing. I believe some people are desperate for things to start going tits up, just so they can justify their outlandish views. This forum represents quite a small % of the fan base, and I'd be inclined to believe that these guys are in the minority.
  7. There's already a thread for a cortese-*****fest, we don't need another one.
  8. Looks like this was the ''massive bid for players'' that was alluded too. We def. are actively looking for a striker too, and only top class championship ones by the looks of it.
  9. kilgallon? another left sided cb...
  10. He's been injured on and off for the past 18 months, would be a big gamble. Would only really look at a loan deal myself.
  11. Good old taxi driver rumours! Gorrks deal doesn't look like happening, he wants to stay at QPR - confirmed by solent.
  12. He was replaced last season by that new bald fella
  13. Mills is still here, PNE went for a free transfer LB instead iirc.
  14. Not Gorrks by the sounds of it
  15. Yep, agreed. Saw better football played by us/Hudders and P'boro last season tbh.
  16. Possibly. In a way you can understand him, he's worked all his career to get into the premiership - if I was him i'd want to try and give it a crack, he might never get another chance. I think he'd have wanted a massive wedge to drop down again.
  17. brilliant. We're not having much luck are we?
  18. How can you say that? You never hear from him usually, a statement or a paragraph in the programme is very very rare. He never speaks, he's in the background 90% of the time. Let's hang him for having his picture on the programme.
  19. Blackpool look a solid side. Didn't think much of Hull, long ball tosh.
  20. They've named a pretty strong team, bar Gorrks QPR: Kenny, Dyer, Hill, Derry, Hall, Gabbidon, Taarabt, Smith, Campbell, Bothroyd, Faurlin. He's not a sub either Subs: Cerny, Hewitt, Buzsaky, Trialist, Agyemang, Ephraim, Doughty, Helguson, Orr, Andrade.
  21. Yes, there's a chairmans notes feature over a couple of pages.
  22. He was terrific when Leicester initially had him on loan. A real nippy striker who got almost 15 goals IIRC. they spent 3m big ones on him, but he didn't really light up the league the next season (mainly due to Sven arriving and players like Yakubu pushing him out)

    Maynard

It's worth leaving the Maynard bid until the 31st, when he still hasn't signed a new deal. They'll be tempted then.
