Let's not be too negative! I know it's odd seeing us win every week and beating (the right) records for once - but i really believe we'll win this and win it well. Lallana, Guly, Lambo and Chambo are on top top form at the moment and it's very hard for any team at this level (or even lower half champ) to contain them when they're on their game (look at Hudds/P'Boro etc - they're much better teams than Notts County and we totally thumped them) Another real plus for me recentley has been the form of Morgan, i think he's been magestic. If he continues that and the front 3 get their usual service, it'll be fine.

i'm honestly not bothered if we sign anyone or not. (just Guly) Our squad is already good enough. Next summer we'll need to add a few more though.
-
The last thing we need is a player hanging around the place that doesn't want to play for us. So if that's the case get rid of him, on loan or whatever. Although I honestly don't think he'll find a better club than us to go to. He's destined to be a lower league journey man.

You never know trousers. P'boro may have a new manager in place by then, so the new manager effect may work in our favour for once. They're not a bad side and will cause brighton problems. I don't think it'll be easy for Bournemouth at Colchester either...tricky place to go..... Still - let's just win our game. If we keep doing that we'll be ok anyway.

Lambo is a changed man recently, that break over the xmas period has done him the world of good. He looks slimmer, quicker, sharper and fitter and that's why we've started to win handsomely again. Last season he was still pretty hot on assists though, 23 assists in all comps I think which shows how important he is to us. Glad to have him back.

docker-p, what are you on about, do you really think that?
-
what awful reporting that is. just because Sir Alex was in the stands that means he's entering the race. He's not checking up on a team that he's facing in a couple of weeks then? Chambo will be with us till the end of the season. After that he'll probably move on.

..Do we really need anyone??! (other than Guly signed up)

Some oldham fans views just for the hell of it: true they were awesome. but its like i have all ways said money talks Terrible, but all credit to saints, they are immense!! played us off the park even if we were on form we would have got no where near them Sry to say but i came away at 3 nil as i could see more goals coming. We gave them too much respect, and had no answers for their quick passing and pace and also their strikers who score goals. SAINTS are Champions for me by far. First time this season we have properly been outclassed and thats an understatement. All were poor.Too many wasted clearances and wayward meaaninless passes. No player did anything to earn praise.Southampton will go up.They are well organised, had a game plan by making our fullbacks look poor, were slick, made their passes count and knew where the nets were. they are a fantastic team who play football and take their chances. I thought last season they where good when they came to BP but this eason they will go up as Champions on that peformance. They blitzed us away and maybe we have too mnay young players. Tonight we played a bloody good team - with a couple of Premiership quality players. We fielded our strongest side and we were soundly trounced - but its not the end of the season. We are still capable of making a bid for the last playoff berth. Other than Southampton - the rest are not that much better than us. We need to get behind our young team. Keep the faith. seriously though we've been in this Division 14 years and I have never seen a team as good as the one we faced tonight, we did very little wrong tonight until it got to 3-0 then we just threw the towel in and brought on Brooke, Millar and Feeney.

It is really bad tbh. It's not just match days but it's like this whenever anything of note happens at this football club. It's not fit for purpose at all. There are so many other forums around on the net that seem to manage it but don't charge their members.
-
He's done a great job so far. Everything is set for us to continue this form too. Oldham fans say we're the best team they've ever seen at this level in their 14 years here.
-
We are really going to ''Win it for Markus'' he deserves nothing less, great man and he'd love to see us playing like we are now.
-
Amazing result really. shame the forum didn't work though....! I'd love to know the last time we won 6-0 with 6 different goal scorers, that's one hell of an effort and shows the pure quality right through our team and onto the bench. Finally...we are actually living up to our potential. This team would finish top half championship IMO.

3-0

Whenever anything of any note happens this forum crashes, so if i'm totally honest it's not really fit for purpose and should be made free to everyone if they can't improve it. my 2 pence anyway...i don't usually complain either.

I think he's just a closet saints fan
-
this forum is bloody awful, unusable on matchdays
-
yes! great start
-
Their chairman sounds like a right nut. Didn't think he'd done too bad a job there, they've had a couple of heavy defeats but they're still right in the race and they'll always score goals.

It's one of those ''sky sports understands'' things, but looks quite possible.

At least this gives Owen a chance to tour the facilities before he signs for us. -
That's what they were saying before they played Leeds last year. Let's hope we catch their players as complacent as their fans.

Why does he need to be persuaded to spend even more??? why do we need to spend lots and lots anyway?? -

Even though we're now a league lower, I expect us to put up much more of a game than we did a few years back. I think we've got a better team for a start. You never know what can happen in this competition, Leeds actually went to old trafford last year and caught them off guard...no reason why we can't do that at home. -
The next thing we need to do in January is either get him signed on loan for the rest of the season, or tie him up on a perm. deal. It would be gutting to lose him now that he's finally getting going here.
