The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread
S-Clarke replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
''but with an added clause which would allow the club to cancel the deal after six months should he not fully recover from his hip injury sustained in April.'' i think that points to him not getting through a medical with us. sounds like a bad injury he has, and we don't need to take crocks on anymore. -
That's one hell of a u-turn by Poyett. hopefully Pard's hasn't been stitched up by this, methinks he let our 2 right backs go on the assurances that this was a pretty much done deal.

Andrew Surman Has Been Told He Can Leave.

ITK? -
"With the World Cup coming up there is sure to be plenty of barbeques over the summer - fans might be looking at smartening up their lawns and this would be an ideal solution. It's a simple enough process, all anyone would need to do would be to mix a bit of seed with the top soil and then spread it over the top of the lawn." w.t.f.

monday night i think, then the following day we were told the kit was to be announced in a few days! bloody irritating.

Different Ownership and Managment, same old summer
S-Clarke replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
tbf you won't hear from him, he'll mysteriously disappear if we do well. -
our LB position was a joke for 2 seasons. Skacel first and then Surman. Both attacking midfield players ffs! mental waste of ability sticking them there.
-
pretty sure that's right. Stockport stayed in admin for an entire season and did not incur any more point deductions (you can stay in admin for up to 2 seasons). They could only bring in 1 or 2 loans, but that was the least of their worries.

he looked great on youtube but agree - one of the most frustrating signings we've ever made. Can't remember a good game he had.

Cortese out
-
WUM. let's not have this at 3 pages, he doesn't desrve that sort of coverage.
-
so its exactly a week after the ''in a few days'' article, and we still have no kit. nice one. i know it's not a big deal, but that was such a stupid article to put up.
-
they might as well have said ''next week'' - last Tuesdays article was a bit silly. Maybe the release was postponed? who knows. Still a bit premature with the pre-announcement though.

How the hell are you in a position to say that? How have you worked that out? He's actually done ok, a few pieces of misjudgment but that will go as he gets experience.. One massive bonus is that he's left footed and quick. he's going to be a very useful player for us next year. -

exasperated? seriously? get a grip... there will be signings, not many though as Pard's does not want to distrupt the team from last year. i expect us to do business right up till sept. -

you've clearly posted this looking for a reaction. -
What is it with this year? so many big name players are getting injured prior to the tournament. So far we've lost Rio, Drogba, Mikel, Essien, Ballack, Pirlo is a ''major'' doubt, Robben is now a major doubt and there are still questions over the fitness of Cesc and Torres. it's a shame as you want to see all the best players at the world cup...
-
tbf after this season i'm not sure Rio is full of pace either, very slow whenever i've seen him in the last year or so. i'm don't think Rio missing out will be a massive disaster.
-
apparently (heard this today) the club explored the possibility of instalments, but the club is in effect still ''blacklisted'' in terms of bankruptcy, due to the administration last year. So finance companies don't want to touch us. It does kind of add up with Nicola's comments last year, as they were struggling to get sponsorship deals because companies still thought we were ''skint''.
-
he was at loan at Wycombe last season i think? well part of it anyway. was highly-rated when he was there and popped up with a few goals. we seem to like our loans from reading. Hope we still try to get antonio.
-
nice. show's the level of players we'll be looking at this summer.
-
sounds like it could be a bad knee ligament injury, so he is out of the world cup if the scan proves conclusive. Gerrard to be the captain then. who comes in a CB? King is a good bet but we'd keep having to shuffle the team which isn't what we need. Upson isn't very good and Carra has had a **** season. We do get a chance to call up someone else if he is out though...not sure when the cut off is.
-
Good player, from reading alot of the reviews from Brentford fans it sounds like he's L1's version of Gareth Bale. he'll probably end up playing in front of harding, it would give us fantastic ballance. it's good to have competition..
-
why not go the whole way? 3 new signings - 1 in home kit, 1 in the away and 1 in the new training gear. sorted
