  1. hmm, not sure after reading that..sounds like one of those ''footballrumours.com'' postings. the english isn't great for a start.
  2. Good signing. but you wait till we get started
  3. he's all but signed for QPR and would never drop down a level.
  4. If it was a choice between taking Theo or Joe Cole, it's a no brainer - and Capello has made the right choice. Theo 'should' improve in time, but he needs to realise that the pro game demands more than just pace - you need something at the end of it.
  5. it is if you look at it in a way that we have a bank account with 50m in it. i'm not saying that's true, but didn't Nicola say in the last fan's forum that we were debt free and will now run within our means? i see no reason for him to lie about that.
  6. i'm not ITK or anything, just a couple of people i talk to have refered to this - which i think seems quite a logical way of working it. I guessed the amount - i have no idea what he could have put into an account, but it does seem a sensible way of doing it.
  7. I'm not suprised you've jumped onto his angle of thought. which is totally and utterly wrong by the way. We are in no debt and are currently running within our means. Markus doesn't have to prop us up every week, what i believe happend is he has dumped a wad of his cash into an account (say 50m) which is what the club will use to buy players, improve the club etc. he's not topping us up every week.
  8. We are currently no longer accepting applications for Barclaycard Football Credit Card oh well
  9. i wouldn't be surprised to see sales drop. Not dramatically...but they will drop slightly imo.
  10. i worried this would happen, simply because they've left it way too late. With the installment plan i think every application is subject to a credit check etc prior to approval, they have probably seen that they will not be able to process all of the installment plans in the 2 month period the tickets are on sale for. The question still remains as to why it's been delayed? Release them in April/March and they should be able to work the installment plan. I'm a bit miffed, but not too fussed - I'll just buy my tickets for next season, unfort there is no way atm i can fork out that much cash at once
  11. initially looking at it, it didn't look too bad at all - but you're right, there have been slight rises all over the board. inc. the matchday prices slightly i think? - and the inclusion of a booking fee - which i think was only used for the webmley/pompey game last year?
  12. you never know, but this line seemed pretty conclusive to me ''Half season tickets will not be available this season"
  13. not the big reduction as some were especting though. but i think the lack of an installment plan and the lack of a half-season ticket will screw a few people over.
  14. well, the wait is over... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2062493,00.html '' the Club will not be offering a payment instalment plan for season tickets.''
  15. Agreed, i'm not sure who people think we can replace him with?? Some fans just seem too relaxed that he'll be easy-peasy to replace and we'll be fine. In the league we're in no one can replace him. So you're spot on, I'd offer him a new contract ASAP, as it was an original lowe contract he was on with relegation clauses he's probably only on around 1k p/w!
  16. Roger Becks? i remember him! His lunchtime threads were my personal highlight. Exceptionally well spoken wasn't he. a poster i used to like was Papa-Shango, haven't seen him for ages. Found it quite funny that he was the only one on my side re: jermaine wright!
  17. and palace's overall debt. must be less than 30% of Pompeys total debt, yet they may sneak themselves out of it. makes you sick really.
  18. fair point. and you're right, back in the early 90's the played there - ground must be jinxed.
  19. I can kind of see where you are coming from, but Lambo was absolutely pivotal, without him it wouldn't have done much at all - he contributed to to 58 of our 85 league goals! (scoring 36 - assisting 22) (i'd say 50% of those were hoofed, rather than passing moves as well) Morgon did well for us last season and i stand by the fact that i believe we'll be weaker without him, but i still don't put Morgan above rickie in-terms of his overall contribution.
  20. No idea why everton have done that, he's not good enough IMO. at 27 he's not even proven himself in the champ.
  21. apparently a group of palace fans have protested by breaking into the club and smashing up the offices. excellent, that showed them. i reckon we could see the first ''big'' club to go pop here.
  22. Statement CPFC2010 – 31st May 2010 As you are aware we are endeavoring to acquire both Crystal Palace Football club and Selhurst Park. Everyone would agree Selhurst Park is pivotal to the long-term future of the club and CPFC2010 have always made it clear that they will not proceed without securing it. We have now reached agreement with Agilo regarding their debt against the club and did have what we thought was an agreement with Bank of Scotland who are the major creditor of Selhurst Park Ltd. Subsequent to this agreement we have been sent a contract that does not reflect this agreement and is unworkable. CPFC 2010 value Selhurst park as a football ground but have agreed to pay a significant premium on that. We also recognize that a property developer may pay even more for the ground on the chance that they may be able to change its use sometime in the future. The bank have made it clear that they want to help the club and don’t want to sell to a property developer now but are worried we may sell the land for development in the future, making a profit and embarrassing the bank in the process. In order to put their minds at rest we have also agreed to an ‘anti embarrassment’ clause that allows the Bank to see a further return if we realize greater value from the ground in the future. In essence we need clarity on what that amount should be and how it is calculated. At the moment it seems the Bank want to make unlimited return in the future even if that value is created on the back of the success of the football club or money we have invested in a new infrastructure and not in appreciation of the value of the land. We believe that the maximum they should make is the difference between what we will pay for the land as a football ground and what a property developer will pay now as a development opportunity plus interest. We are dealing totally through intermediaries and its very frustrating, as we don’t think the bank competently understand the situation we are in, or the urgency. If we cannot reach agreement soon (we have a deadline of 3pm 1st June) Agilo have made their intention clear to sell the players and liquidate the club. Please be assured we are doing everything we can to make this happen but as we sit today the future of Crystal palace hangs in the balance and is very much in the hands of a person in a bank in Scotland whom we have never met and it seems we are not allowed to speak to. We note the new governments commitment to sport, particularly sport in the community, Bank of Scotland is currently government owned, as such we would urge the new Prime Minister to intervene personally to resolve the situation or see a club supported by many thousands with 100 year History consigned to the scrapheap.
