Problem is nick, we're going to need to go on one hell of a run now and we can only lose 3 more games if we're going to do as well as Norwich. I can't see where it's coming from as we're now going to take time to bed into the new managers ways. We've already lost 4 games, they lost 7 maximum last season. Looking at it that way, it's going to be one hell of a ****ing effort now.
-
not if it's hindering the way we're playing. Adkins needs to teach us a plan b in 3 days.
-
You do make some good points, although i feel they were following the advise of medical guys on Lallana's injury. but on the other points...How they've managed to make such a screwed up start of such a crucial season, after keeping the core of the team together is a bloody disgrace.
-
We've barley troubled any GK since the rovers game.
-
It's going to be hard, the playoffs are a lottery. I dreaded the thought of them, now to think this could possibly be the best we get is ****ing awful. If we fail to go up this year we'll have to start all over again and we'll never replace Lallana with someone of the same ability.

Drop Lambert, bring barnard in. Stop the long ball, try to play to feet with width. We need a shake up, keeping the same team for the sake of it is not good in our situation. We need a freshen up as they're stale and lacking confidence.
-
but he created a lot himself, and also laid on 22 assists for others. He's not good enough at the moment.

Why does it always go wrong for us? we're obviously not going to go up are we? everything is conspiring against us. Not just small things either, we've lost our owner, our manager, our best player to an injury for 2 months, lambert is injured and unfit, barnard was suspended for 3 games...oh and we've lost 4 games in a row. I'm so depressed and deflated after looking forward to this season more than any other. We kept the bloody team together which everyone feared we wouldn't, we spent a big sum on a pre-season abroad and everything was set. On the eve of the plymouth game i was so excited...now i'm struggling to be bothered to go to saturdays game. IMO Lambert needs to get out of the team and get fit, don't care how long it takes him. Get a loan player in to replace him because he's hindering us at the moment, when he's fit everything goes through him - when he struggles, we're a non-team. Pretty much 90% of our play went through Lambert last season and over 60% of our goals were down to him. He's not lambert at the moment, whether it's fitness, injury, or another reason - but i'm a massive fan of him, and he has been our worst player so far. Adkins will do very well to get us promoted IMO, this is just like a nightmare.

all the good work from last season has been wiped out in a period of 4 weeks. Automatic promotion, which i thought was almost a dead cert, will be very hard now. Sickening.
-
oh dear. this season is ****ed up
-
Jaidi is clearly not fit though, i wonder if he's one of the players Adkins alluded too..

lol @ skates. They're being done by Burley
-
3-0! he's left a very good team there. Shows what a good job he's done
-
Gareth Bale looks completely and utterly a class above them. He's one of my favorite players at the moment, not just because of his saints connections, it's just because he's so ****ing awesome to watch...but it makes me proud to think that we developed him and i'm glad i got the chance to watch the kid live!
-
good point, but i still don't think that would stop them looking for ''special dispensation'' !
-
he was last season, but they couldn't afford to make it permanent
-
No chance of getting him at this level, I'd imagine he's pretty likely to go to the skates.
-
I know what you mean, but his interview seemed a lot more honest and he speaking from his mind rather than a pre-contrived club statement. It's impossible not to notice his passion for it.
-
He comes across really well, i love his enthusiasm, not just for football, but for managing us - you can see how much he wants to succeed in his eyes. That sort of passion and enthusiasm will transfer to the players and we're only going one way when that happens. ''We're going to be the best team in the league, simple as that'' - love it.

Training gallery- is the last picture on the OS Adam Lallana?
S-Clarke replied to Ashley Grute's topic in The Saints
according to the OS - lallana end of oct, richardson expected back in october - so i'd assume towards the start/mid of october. -
Where's this coming from? has it been said he could feature or something? He hasn't played for s****horpe this season and has pretty much become just a coach - although in an emergency he's registered as a player.
-
What's the point of this thread?
-
Matthew Le God mentioned it in another thread, not sure where he got it from though. But it seems likely he'll stay on as he mentioned as much in his first press-conf. something along the lines of ''The chairman has asked me to take control of the team for the foreseeable future, he's assured me that i'll have a future here no matter what''
-
I think you look at all the great players that we've had over the years, the great nights in the dell, the 27 years consecutive in the top flight. We do have a great history for a club at this level.
-
Crosby was player/coach at S****horpe, but was only used in emergencies - he hasn't featured much in the last year.
