He's full of ability, but has the completley wrong attitude. If pard's can somehow get that right here, we will have a very good player -
Hopkins post in the lallana thread has everything you need to know about how it works.

fantastic post, best i've read on here for ages.

That's a blow, it is his knee isn't it? Could be even longer if he needs to have an op, which is possible.

a vid on tyson - a potential attack comprising of Lambo, Tyson, Lallana and Puncheon is frightening at championship level, let alone L1....and we would still have Barnard ,Connolly & oxo in reserve. -

''Owl in peace Having had Esajas with us the last 3 years i feel right to comment on him. He is extremely inconsistant, can cross well when he can be bothered, he has a good shot and can do free kicks a bit like C.Ronaldo, but bar that he is rubbish. He is incredibly lazy, he won't help defensively (when you don't have the ball its like playing with 10 men) and when it doesn't go his way, he pulls a big strop. Steer clear, although if you sign him, he will inevitably score against us, which I'm sure would help you'' -

not sure, Pard's has played him in every game pre-season so he's taking a serious look at him by the sounds of things....+ his fitness is improving. -

more 606 stuff ''I know Rocket has posted about Tyson already but im posting this on behalf of Doing The Lambert Walk and the 1976 Saints forum. We have it on extremely good grounds, that player/players will be signing in the coming days. For a change, I will tell you a bit more about the source, he was in the same room as Mo Gimpel who was preparing the same equipment which the source used for his medical last season. So he claims there are medical/medicals set to take place, and one definitely tomorrow, which he cannot name, but is believed to be Nathan Tyson. Also, if all goes well, you can expect to see Etienne Esajas signing soon, after completing the 2nd of these medicals. Pardew is still keen on 3 or 4 new players, to bolster competition, and he wants players to play for their new contracts. So I hope you have read this and please do reply if possible'' -

From a forest fan - '' Tyson met with Southampton gaffer today They met today to discuss the move, i really hope he stays having that pace to come on off the bench is a real asset. He has never reached his potential at forest, mainly, as i've stated before, hes never been given his true role upfront next to a big man like adebola or blackstock that his pace would thrive off, i remember his only good run of games up front was a year or two ago on his own or with earnie and he had to win the knock ons, then chase after them! This has come from a good source, i know its not ground breaking, but i had doubts over the truth id heard in this move before as i think he could play at a lot higher standard. Always a legend in my eyes for Flag Day, which was the playing equivelent of the sheeps heads through the derby pub window! Good luck if he does go, cant believe the a.p would consider it now were down to blackstock, earnie and adebola - whos playing with a hole in his sack!'' -

If Rocket's 2nd' snippet is to be believed, we've put another bid in for Danns - but it's been rejected again, apparently Palace have said they will not sell their stars for less than £4m???? I've heard they've been rescued, but i didn't think they were in that strong a financial position. -

ahhh good old Rocket tbf this story has been gathering momentum and what with him being left out of their friendly...2+2=... But pard's has been monitoring Tyson for a while and i said in another thread, i'd heard that we tried to get him in the jan. window. does this potentially make me ITK? -
He won't have one, he'll vanish until our next poor result.
-
People aren't forgetting, the majority of us realize that we have just played a friendly match that actually means nothing, in the grand scheme of things. It's called having a bit of perspective. You say winning well in pre-season helps to start a season? i'll go back to what i dug out yesterday, 12-0 against Svarstad - then we open up the campaign losing 4-1 to Crystal Palace. You cannot judge the potential success of a promotion push on a couple of low-key pre-season friendly's. The plymouth game will be a competley different kettle of fish.
-
Alpine you have, again, conveniently ignored a very reasonable question to justify one of your points - Benji - You reckon our best chance for promotion was when we had a ten point penalty and needed to completely rebuild the team. Could you explain why please?
-
I disagree with you here Legod, it's an attitude like that which will run clubs into meltdown. I'd much prefer to be sensible and pay what a player is worth than over the odds just to get the deal closed. All clubs value their players above their true sale value at this time of the season, things change as we get closer to the end of the window.
-
agreed, I'll try and bring it back on topic. I think Pard's performed well last season, there were moments you questioned certain aspects of his decision making but most of the time they were proven to be the correct decision. His signings last season were faultless, maybe only Mellis the one having a question mark over his name (and he was only a short loan). This season i think it's just a case of carry on as you were in the grand scheme of things, but i still think there is room for slight improvement in certain areas such as away tactics etc. Overall i think he's overwhelmingly the right man and hasn't done anything wrong to warrant any major criticism. He's one of the reasons why we are hot favorites for the title.
-
but we didn't lose.....
-
it's such a stupid thing to say though. Last season was never about promotion, your pre-season prediction last year proved that. We will be promoted this year with or without AP.
-
Seriously, if this is how many pages of debate we get after a 1-1 with Sutton in a pre-season, god help this forum if we draw away at Hartlepool.
-
You really haven't got a clue.
-
Apparently, people who don't attend matches have a better understanding of the team and the performance. This was a comment from our esteemed alpine not so long ago. If we had won all our pre-season games his presence on these forums would be non-existant. It's really quite odd. When we do well, he's no where to be seen, but as soon as something goes wrong (We drew freidnly FFS) he's out in force. He'll deny this time and time again and come up with the stupid reason that there is less to debate when we're doing well. No alpine...there's less negative things to debate...but plenty of other positive stuff to talk about.
-
Excellent, the nut jobs are out in force and it's only pre-season. God help us if we don't win every game.
-
He can't wait to get started, so he's making the most of the pre-season results now.
