  1. Edwards has lost his way a little bit, but as long as he hasn't lost too much pace, he'll be a good signing - always remember him being a very quick and skillful winger.
  2. It wasn't great, but we expect too much of these star players at club level these days - for them to go out and perform for another 4 weeks at high altitude is sometimes a bit too much. It's not going to really be remembered for it's football, more about how Africa came together and supported it as one. They did a fantastic job at the end of the day when a lot of people doubted their ability to host it. That's the great thing about the world cup, it's the only event in the world that unites every single country - even North Korea got in on the action! I think the best team won it though IMO, although Germany pushed them hard - you needed to be pretty good to beat the Germans this time round. I'm still going to miss it though, you can't beat having a football match on every day! Bring on Brazil...
  3. it's ok, we've got forecast! oh
  4. Shame and surprising given his comments in the echo a few weeks ago. Maybe the contract offer he received was not what he wanted? either way i think he's too good to be a backup GK in L1, he deserves first team football somewhere.
  5. Surprised Danns hasn't moved before now, would still be surprised to see him sign for us though as we tried and failed in january - and that was when they were strapped for cash, it's a ''little'' bit easier for them now. As for Tyson, who knows? Was made aware of Pard's interest in him back in the january window, but no idea what movement happened then.
  6. Company's carry on without the chief executive, and if he's on holiday - so will we. the club secretary takes care of most matters. And i can't imagine us signing anyone else until they're back from Switzerland anyway.
  7. Jackson is just the sort of striker we're crying out for.
  8. i think it's one of those kits that will look better once you see it in the flesh, the pictures don't really show it off that well. The video on saints player gives you a bit more detail though.
  9. mine was started 1 min earlier:(
  10. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2088674,00.html
  11. totally agree, what's he ever achieved to even earn half that amount? No one will touch him with demands like that Simeon jackson is a much more realsitic option in terms of wage demands, wouldn't be surprised to see him sign. We're just building a team of L1 all-stars.
  12. People keep saying that there will be a ''massive signing'' or ''massive news'' - who knows...
  13. We've been after him for a while, heard a rumour we tried to get him in January. ...so this wouldn't surprise me, and would be bloody excellent - it would solve the lack of pace straight away.
  14. not good enough for us IMO
  15. bit of both i think, he's not full of pace - but he's solid at the back, yet attacking minded. He has a great cross on him...and he can take a great pen!
  16. weird, didn't even notice..... great job by clive tbf....wouldn't feel too comfortable commentating on a WC Semi final on my own!
  17. This is how we do our transfers now guys! Who ever called this one? no one! but heck it's a good one. Best RB in this league last year, he was terrific in the playoff game i watched. He's also performed in the champ too, well done pard's and co, really good signing - and there is money there!
  18. i want us to score over 100 league goals.
  19. He didn't play a single minute of football with Vale though, was on the bench once or twice but thats it. I expect him to turn up at a BSP team.
  20. Doctors play a part in the players medicals and also assist with injuries and rehab. It's all well and good saying ''well send them to A&E'' - but is that how top class clubs operate? nope. They have their own team taking care of their players.
  21. If Cortese left and took Markus's millions with him the people currently against him would be crying as we slip back down the leagues. What is there to be against in all honesty? He's making ruthless changes and is trying some radical things - all at the same time as maintaining a competitive team on the playing field. It's not time to be picking up on every single decision he makes, it's about looking forward to the future because it is going to be an exciting, albeit slightly bumpy ride.
  22. It will be called the Cortese Arena
  23. Unfortunately, you're not far from the mark. If the ''public'' stay for a certain time then they will be charged. No idea what the time will be though, i'd imagine it will be a couple of hours. And obviously staff will have to pay to park as well. That was the word from someone who still works at the club and obviously will be affected by the charges.
