  1. brilliant manager IMO. One of the best in Europe. heard him speaking on five live a few weeks back, his insight into the game was fascinating.
  2. He's been a big hit down there ''Such a shame, he has been in excellent form lately and has certainly won us some vital points! The reality has suddenly hit home that we may never see him in a TUFC again, as I wouldn't be at all surprised if he is sold on in January ... or maybe given a first team chance at Southampton. Certainly the sort of fee they would want, or at least so I have heard, is going to put him out of our reach in all likelihood. Even though he's never been OUR player, he has been so much a part of what has been going on at TUFC for the last couple of years that it really felt like he was! Best of luck Michael, and thanks for everything.'' ''Wish Pokey all the very best for the future, one of the best keepers we have had in a while.
  3. Yep - that's a fair assesment for me, i'd be happy with that.
  4. it doesn't say much about them then, seeing as ''the poorer'' teams all have more points than them!! we're almost in december, they have Man Utd next...and they are still in single figures points wise. they're down IMO.
  5. doesn't make sense for either tbh. (well imo anyway) all we'd have to fork out is probably about 15-20m to just add to the stadium. We've hosted internationals before and the links (airport/rail etc) are pretty much there. It could even open up the opportunity to develop the track next to the stadium. For a start....these 2 cities need a ''stadium'' fit to host international matches.... This world cup bid will typically decend into a farce.
  6. Hartlepool fans views... ''was also very impressed with southampton turnout. nearly 700 for a tuesday night game on the run up to xmas. '' ''I must comment on their away following. Very good on a horrible tuesday night, when your teams closer to the relegation than the promotion places. Good humoured too, some decent chants ''
  7. Great rundown FF they are screwed...can't see a great escape from this mess.
  8. he ''was'' one of the kids...but just seen above he's been released, so cross him off. 4 it is then!
  9. Bart, Davis, Forecast, Poke, Pernecky, Hogan poke and pernecky can be reaclled i think, as they're both on loan atm.
  10. Not forgetting Morgan and Jake Thompson, as according to the dutch duo they can play CB too:rolleyes:
  11. he's effective in any attacking position, as long as there is tactical discipline to his game and the team as a whole. Last season he was told to just play, with no shape or discipline around him - it shows what a good manager can do, as pard's is getting the best out of his undoubted ability.
  12. +1 makes a huge difference when you have a competent defence in front of you too. none of this Makin/Powell nonsense....
  13. he did v well on loan at Barnsley last month - think he's a decent keeper, but has been shown up by our shocking defense in the last couple of seasons.
  14. we're lucky to still have someone like Bart as backup though tbh.
  15. Just heard on Solent....Torn groin muscle big big blow
  16. if we win the next 3 games - then possibly.
  17. after the next 3 games (wycombe/wallsall/tranmere) we may getting there....
  18. i was waiting for this...
  19. Next 3 games.... Wycombe Home Wallsall Away Tranmere home surely, 6 points at the very minimum? should be out of the bottom 4 in a couple of weeks.
  20. great win IMO. They haven't lost at home since August - i think this result shows that the birghton game was nothing but a blip. normal service resumed...
  21. Dave merrington is telling us another of his secrets. no one must know that...antionio is running the line
  22. they just have...
  23. 6mins added time...
  24. Hartlepool haven't lost at home since august....(in the league that is)
