This sounds great....but i wont be getting carried away....just yet we know where that's got us in the past. Southampton should be attracting this level of investment though, as a city and a club we've been underachieving for years - but with the right investment and management we could be extremely successful – I’m sure the Swiss know that. and also....this ties in with the ''Global name'' or something alone those lines - which Fry stated when he first took control.
-
Jack Boyle...?
-
PR Plant alert. - typical Lowe way of doing things.
-
Now jan-paul saeijs was a huge failure wasn't he...
-
Also with Wottes more permanent appointment - it seems very likely that he will be returning...All we need is the takeover to be done. He’ll probably be the first singing – a huge coup for league 1 IMO.
-
He's a good player - if he has good players around him - put him in our team of the last 2 seasons and he's understandably been average. He seemed to buckle under pressure a little as well... Good move for him though, not sure how regularly he'll play - but he'll do ok. i wish him all the best...
-
nope, I'd never suggest that.......
-
It'll be interesting to see what the format will be. I've listened to their online offerings for a while now - and they're very good...
-
He's an odd one. - at least he has a hobby though. Wonder what club he'll try and take over next? I wonder if he'll knock on Pompeys door when their deal falls through (that's what im hearing...)
-
That email is almost word for word from the one that they sent last week...
-
Agree with you. I've got alot of respect for Wotte - he's very frank with his views, but that's not always a bad thing is it? We were better under Wotte than we were under Jan anyway, the team had a bit of 'shape' to it...rather than Jans ''Go and play wherever'' formation. If this is the first decision from the swiss, then they've already got off on the right foot IMO....

It was inventible after their ''Exclusivity'' ended. I personally don't believe they were ever close to buying the club, I expect Lynam spent the majority of the time trying to find backers - They clearly did not have the funds from word go. The obstacles from the FL should not have been a last minute realisation, anyone with any business sense or intelligence to look at the Leeds case will know that it's not as straight forward as ''-10''. I will never forgive Lynam and the way they wasted the exclusivity period - and maybe I even questions Fry's judgement on awarding it to them. Something was fundamentally wrong with their ''bid'' from the day 1 - and I am so sad that they decided to pull MLT's name down with them. This is the end - and so typically, it ends in a farce.
-
Let's hope not eh? load of tosh.
-
They've run out of things to say. If they were almost close to completing (which they now need to be) then you'd expect them to be communicating with the local media. ...they're not because there's nothing more they can say, other than their best line ''we're still in detailed discussions with the FL'' - woffle imo.

We've been waiting for weeks. the problem we all have is that it's been 48 ****ing hours away for almost 3 weeks. We simply do not have any more time, if it's not done this week then the club is dead - no more. Heck - they can still prove me wrong, but it's looking less and less likely as the hours tick on - let's hope one of the other parties come in.
-
They sold Ian Hume to Barnsley for £2m i think.
-
Shame - good player. He did want to go though tbf. Forest are building a decent team....
-
MF said we were hours away on Thursday. They are welcome to prove me wrong, but Pinnacle are just talk. They've accepted the 10 point penalty right? So now what's holding them up? Funds IMO - we've been fed a load of woffle as usual.
-
I don't think the majority of fans are in the camp ''WE WANT SOMEONE WITH MORE MONEY'' - the fact is that 100% of us just want a club to support and if someone is willing to put their investment in – that’s great. What I’m concerned about with this Pinnacle bid is how long it's been dragged out, the inconsistencies of tony’s posts and the way the money man was thrown into the limelight how he was. I know we've been put through this before (helpmerhonda fame) - but this does have an irritatingly close resemblance to it. All these dreams about premiership football, KK as manager...how about walking before you run? It’s great to have ambition but it’s also great to have a bit of realism. I lost all faith in Pinnacle after last Friday, they had 21 days to do a deal - they didn't. We kept hearing ''it will be resolved soon’’ ‘‘it will be resolved in a timely manner'' - but where are we? We're now in exactly the same position we were in last month, albeit worse. If Pinnacle had any sense they would have gone into a deal with the ‘possibility’’ of further points deductions and the ‘possibility’ of two seasons in league 1....but it seems like they didn’t. That’s why I doubt their credibility.

And here is the quote.... ''Ultimately I have in fact now entered into this "exclusivity agreement" on behalf of ONE client only. And myself, Matt and others involved are very pleased with that. Gone are the days of petty squabbles. Our one client has SUBSTANTIAL wealth - several hundred million.

Watching them walk out to a sea of yellow in Cardiff. Thinking about it still stands the hairs up - great experience loved it. The nice back to back win's against the skates (pahars goal being the one) Niemi's awesome triple save against Viera, when we beat arsenal 3-2. .....I could go on all night; so many fabulous memories with this club...and these are only recent. (Unfortunately im not old enough to remember the real glory days!)
-
They won't complete.
-
It’s more to do with the fact that they’d be ‘’illegally’’ selling a product. You’d be purchasing a season ticket for a club which may not even exist by the time you come to use it.
-
I think if they do come in (Well we have no choice now) then next season will potentially be a nightmare. We're currently in a position where all of our players could just leave, inc. all the staff. What assurances can they be given? We have no idea about these Swiss guys yet. We may have to start league 1 on however many points with a squad of scholars. We can certainly say goodbye to Davis (thanks alot for sticking with us...just a shame the club has turned into a sham) What the hell the future holds for this club now is a mystery.
-
What a stupid thread. They are doing what they were appointed to do, getting the best deal for the creditors. What we fans get at the end of it isn't actually high on their priority list. (Although obviously it's preferable that we do have a football club at the end of it) It's not their fault that this Pinnacle bid has turned into a complete joke. but one thing id like to see them do today is make a decisive decision, i.e kill pinnacles bid.
