It's mentioned on the echo site... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4522985.Pardew_appoints_backroom_staff/

Yes, and he was one of the best players in the hearts game.

Interesting snippet on south today tonight.... they were previewing an interview with AP for next week...and he said ''If im honest, if the board look at this club in 4-5 years and see we're not in the premiership - i think they're going to wonder why'' doesn't sound like were not going to spend to me. When you have ambition to be in the premiership and a billionaire owner, surely there's only one way we can go?

in the positive ground, on about 1 or 2 points IMO

Good appointment. He did really well at Brighton and was then kicked out because they wanted Adams to get a go....what did Adams do? get them involved in a relegation battle and was sacked (he had a better squad at his disposal too) Stuart Murdoch is a v good appointment too, interesting that he's going to play part in our scouting system - he is another one who knows about this league.

I'll post again what i said yesterday as it's very apt. for this thread... We had no indication or leaks prior to harding signing...and that was just announced within hours one morning. People seem to be panicking that we actually do not have the funds - but i cannot see that being true. Why do you spend almost £15mill on a club to let it linger in league 1? You don't - he will want to get us back up and he will not achieve that without investment - Trust me, ML is not an idiot. Also...i don't believe Pardew would have joined us if he was only allowed to sign free's on low pay contracts. The money is there...it's just a case of finding the right players in a professional manner.

Our left side is excellent now. We even have more cover in the likes of White and Molly too (although i guess he may be off) At least the left side of our team is wrapped up...now let's start on the right..

ah - so sad. He's someone I've always really admired and i'll never forget the way he was kicked out of Newcastle. Bloody Freedy Shepard He is loved all around the world and a legend is exactly what he is. RIP.

I haven't had an email, nor can i log in with my current SaintsTV details

At last....didn't think those rumors that he was off to Wolves would come to fruition. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1739849,00.html

Great comments from him - i think it's taken from his interview after the hearts game. Im not surprised he's staying when he has a manager who can identify his ability. Wotte and JP completely screwed him up, if managed properlly he would have been absolutely brilliant - but we only got 3 games out of him because they had no idea how to manage/motivate him.

I think people are just stating that we can sign players up until the end of August. We'll have people in before the first game, im sure of it - but i expect us to keep improving right up until the window shuts.

Absolutely agree. We had no indication or leaks prior to harding signing...and that was just announced within hours one morning. First quote I've seen officially by them stating ''Debts'' One of the quotes a few weeks back for the reason of this ''fire sale'' was by Peter Storie, who stated they were being sold for Tactical reasons  Reminds me of the comments one of our former chairman would have made.
-
What's next for Pompey? This ''takeover agreed in principle'' seems to look more lightweight by the day. They must be frighteningly close to admin.
-
Good updates trousers.....i bet you wished you'd stayed at home though. No point getting worried about this though, the team was full of youth players/reserve players and players who will leave shortly anyway. ....At least we got a goal though
-
You're right DD.... A club spokesman said: “We are sorry to see Peter go both as a player and a person and would like to thank him for playing a key role in keeping the club in the Premier League last season. “His sale was necessitated by the club’s commitment to repay scheduled debts while we are in a transitional period of completing the takeover. They're in the complete and utter ****.

Morgan is probably one of our most technically gifted players - and to have a couple of ''technically'' gifted players in league 1 is rare. He didn't play too well last season because he had no idea what his role was - no one did. Under a good manager with the right shape and tactics around him he will be a star in a top half championship team - and because of his age he could easily make it in the premiership too. What the dutch did to these young players last season is a travesty - i hope AP can restore their confidence, although i fear it could take a while.
-
Huddersfield look to have bought well. Robbie Simpson was highly rated at Cov when they first signed him from the conference. And we sold Surman for an initial £1.2m rising to £2m, which is dependent on appearances/achievements and wolves avoiding relegation.
-
''And even though a new owner is poised to come in'' ? What the hell is going on down there. So as we all thought, the takeover is still subject to him actually having a pot to **** in(ala Pinnacle) It stinks, something isn't right with this at all....and Pompey fans should be very worried IMO. (esp when they're bidding £1.2m for 2 Nottm Forest reserve players and have a player released by crewe on trial)
-
McCarthy seems to like buying 'Potential' though, Kightly is a good example. I still hold the opinion that Mills will not get a game though. Not sure how we get 700k if he's out of contract though? Unless Wolves have agreed to pay us up in front to stop it going to a tribunal. I hope this isn't true, but again we can blame Pinnacle for this - he should have signed his contract weeks ago. Morons.

Bye bye crouch http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8169170.stm The Dr is rich for sure. Are they going to give Derby's record a run for it's money this season? Crazy goings on down there.

I must say, if he does move, to be frank - he's a pillock. I very much doubt he'll play for wolves, he's no where near ready for the prem yet. Money calling again if it's true i guess.
