  1. We brought it on ourselves, I'm not particularly fed up with this goal, just the way we played the 2nd half - and the fact that this handball is such an easy thing for the club to now hide behind and paly the ''woe be me'' card.
  2. I had a bit of misguided optimism, maybe. I thought Watford would have a quick start to the 2nd half, we'd needed to withstand that. We didn't, and he showed no proactive managerial skills to avoid what happend. Which was always the fear. 18 other PL teams would have won that game today. Feck it, even Watford would have managed to beat themselves today.
  3. Maybe it's a bit harsh on McCarthy, but that picture just makes it look a bit WTF. There wasn't much reaction from him either which is odd. Seemed dazed! Just the pure frustration of it all. It was the worst possible way that game could have ended for us, that handball makes the draw look harsh and it completley takes away how inept we were for 45mins. I hope there are certain figures who can look at an entire 45 rather than sit on the fence and say ''we were so close, it was an unlucky end''. We brought it all on ourselves.
  4. He's wumming.
  5. Clearly wumming. 2/10
  6. Feel the same, not too comfortable with those two at the back either. Need someone strong back there as they look lost when a team pressures us.
  7. Need a CB for me. Hoedt and Stephens, in fact Yoshida as well, are too similar. Hoedt and Stephens particularly, good on the ball, quite 'leggy' to watch and not strong or powerful enough. We need a beast of a CB to play alongside Hoedt, I'm upset the club don't feel the same and clearly haven't since last January. This is the clearest example of downgrading a team as you'll likely to see.
  8. Bit of a pansy post for me. Time to wake up I think. First half was ok, but we made the most of Watford not being there. Would have been a crime had we not won that 1st half. There was nothing to admire and certainly no improvements to see in the 2nd half. Crap has been happening all season, this isn't something new. We have failed to beat Watford, Huddersfield, Burnley, Stoke, and Swansea. Not through 'illegal goals' or 'crap luck', it's through being coached and tactically managed by someone who is so clearly out of is depth that it's painful to watch.
  9. I'd say it would be panic in October, but now, given that we've still only one 4 games - YES 4 GAMES - all season, it's not going to be panic. It will be thoroughly fair and deserved. Stealing a living springs to mind.
  10. What in living jesus is McCarthy doing for the 2nd? I mean come on, he's supposed to be a goalkeeper. How have we managed to lumber ourselves with two keepers who can't keep goal.
  11. 1st half fine, but the oppo were poor and handed it on a plate. but 2nd half he was once again out-managed by the oppo. They got the tactics right, changed up their shape and we were under an absolute onslaught for 45 mins. I could never see a team withstanding that amount of pressure, and we didn't. Handball or not, it probably should have been 2-2 before then. He isn't proactive, he is reactive and passive. Just like the team. There is something fundamentally wrong with his philosophy.
  12. Lots of back patting going on in that article. The most blatant club driven peice of propoganda that I have ever seen.
  13. Wasn't that some absolutely crappy article about us not fearing losing players to everton, let alone our manager. Shows how up ourselves we acted/act to be honest. Always think we're a step above everyone else and stick to our guns.
  14. Great share Norm - cheers.
  15. Camara for me. But also when we came from behind to be Liverpool 3-2 was pretty epic with a late Mane goal late on. I remember the ground shaking in the kingsland.
  16. Not that it helped them at all.
  17. West Ham are the graveyard for good strikers.
  18. It was a genuine complaint last year that we couldn't put chances away in some games, but this year we don't even look like we know how to attack.
  19. He's in the latest photos, along with Cedric.
  20. Pretty much. The Suarez incident is the first thing that sticks in my head, all their players with Suarez support t-shirts on. They've wound me up ever since then to be honest.
  21. That City makes me sick, never stop whining. woe be them.
  22. Don't really see him as an out and out striker to be honest, never really have done. More of a support player. If played right around the correct setup, he'd get goals. Let's not get started on that one though...
  23. Yeah, probably. I think we were trying though, lots of links to Vietto. (although not sure he is the out and out striker we needed). Club showed too much faith in Austin and Long, if Austin wasn't so in and out of the team we'd probably be ok.
  24. Why was our summer transfer window a car crash out of interest? Thought we came out of it stronger as a squad, so not sure how it can be seen as a car crash. Unless you're swinging the VVD thing back at the club and now blaming them for not cashing in then?
  25. Did you see his hat-trick goal? Insane. Think Long vs Villa, but better.
