He posted a smiley face in the 'new manager' thread. whatever that means.
-
Whatever happens, let's get it done asap and put ourselves back in a strong position. Don't want any 'search' to drag out the summer whilst everything else is left in limbo. I'm pretty sure the club know what to do.
-
Ah, a Guan smiley. Not sure what to make of that...!
-
'if' this happens, then managers of the ilk of Pellegrini, AvB, De Boer are who I'd like us to be linked with. If it happens, we're in a great position to attract a top European/International manager. Let the championship clubs play with the Neville/Giggs experiment.
-
Why do people actually post **** like that on facebook? Haven't they got a life to be getting on with?
-
That picture could be from any time to be honest. If it was from the other day, why the hell does it look like he's wearing a flaming scarf...?
-
Or it could just be the case that we offered him a deal, he didn't want to stay more than 1 more season. We wanted a manger committed long-term, he joins Everton with our best wishes and we go ahead and get someone with a long-term view in place.
-
But I thought Sky Sources claimed this morning that Everton were in talks with Koeman? No one has a clue. Only Koeman.
-
He can leave Cuco here, I like him.
-
What are everton on? They seem to genuinely believe they are on course to be the next Man City mega-bankrolled club. They are comparing the "supposed'' Koeman appointment with that of Hughes appointment at City at the beginning. It's all about making baby steps until they can get the mega managers, apparently. So, 7m a year is a baby step?

Whatever happens, as fans, let's not forget we're about to embark on one of our most exciting seasons in recent memory. Potential trips all over Europe to places like Italy, Spain, Russia in the offing. If it's Ronald or someone else, the manager has a great club to work with. There's no reason to be despondent about the future whatever happens.

Richard Buxton @RichardBuxton_ 1h Ronald Koeman's Everton talks not as advanced as Dutch reports claimed. #SaintsFC still confident he will extend his stay at St Mary's #EFC (Liverpool/Everton reporter)
-
Is it any surprise? He lives off stuff like this.
-
3 posts done. cheerio.

But that shows we're doing well and arguably punching above our weight. If our players and managers aren't sought after then we are probably having a **** season.
-
£7m would do it. £21m over 3 years. If they sack him, that's still one hell of a flaming pay off. Didn't think he'd go for money, but that's a hell of a lot to shrug off. Who knows, still not confirmed anywhere reputable tbh.
-
But the thing is, we clearly do know what we're doing. We've proven it for the last 2 years. We're self funding and we're successful because of that. What's the problem?
-
Ok, can you please tell me what's rubbish about it exactly? What have I said which discredit's his work here? Say that if you want, but back it up...?
-
You keep going on about this. Is her money ours then? Do we have access to all of her money?
-
Umm, i'm not? I'm not discrediting his work at all? you've totally and utterly misread what i was saying. He has done a great job here, in tricky conditions - no one is denying that. It's just that the Everton situation is likley to be a little trickier. I have no idea how you've got that out of what i posted.
-
Don't like the idea of us giving our old player experience to play for Arsenal. Either loan with a perm option, a perm transfer...or no thanks.
-
I know spending loads'a money can be seen as exciting, but they're all saying ''well, he rebuilt southampton - he can do that here''. He did and he didn't. He still had a spine of Fonte, Morgan, Wanyama to work with. Clyne, JWP etc etc. Good players that provided the foundations. Then you add the likes of Tadic, Mane, Forster around it and it goes well. At everton, he's not necessarily going to have that because 1) so many players are out of contract, 2) they're probably going to lose 1 or 2 for big money. That's pretty much a task of building a new team from complete scratch, it's a risk and it'll be interesting to see how it pans out - whoever they get in charge.
-
That doesn't mean we should be throwing stupid money at people, just to keep them. I don't see that as a way to get sustained success, seems like a very quick way to get 'quick wins' in the short-term. If it happens, we will go again.
-
And you'll be lapping it up. But there won't be any meltdown. We know what we're doing, if it happens then we'll get ourselves another well respected manager and go again. We're in a wonderful position if he stays or goes. No meltdown here.

I think their 'Guan' or 'k,billy' equivalent has said it's done. (not sure on the history of the poster tbh). But the fact some of t heir fans are coming out with garbage like ''Underwhelmed'' ''Chance to make a statement. We failed'' Seriously, who the **** do they think they are? Get a little bit of money and they all get excited. They actually thought Simeone or Jose were realistic. Wake up toffee's.
