I don't think anyone knows for sure, but it seems as if he's a close associate of Lallana. Whether that's a friend or a family member, that's up for debate - but before you were here, this fella was a good help in feeding us all sorts of ITK stuff. Such as team news the day before games etc. So he clearly had a close link there (and still does, as he's followed him).

edit, just saw it posted above. But would be a good signing if it happens. http://www.footmercato.net/breves/southampton-une-offre-pour-wijnaldum_156345

I don't think it's really him spending it, mainly their committee - Ian Ayre and co. But the fact they pulled his support staff from under him, after his 'show down talks', kind of makes you wonder.

If their start goes to form, then he may not even last that long.

A close associate of Adam Lallana.

Their start will certainly ask a lot of questions of them. Stink or swim time for a few players and the manager. Rogers is far from safe, in my opinion. Klopp is in waiting.

The opening thread was very over the top, agreed. But the point is that Lallana did not hit the ground running there. He did not have a good season what so ever. And I don't see how you can claim to be neutral in all of this. You clearly only have 1 side. I have no problem with people moving and bettering themselves, it's their life. But what I have a problem with is when they act like spoiled little ****s whilst sticking their fingers up to a fan base who have supported them all their career. I don't think it's bitter, people are just disappointed and let down by how he left. He could have handled everything a hell of a lot better. He was, and still is in some aspects, a walking PR disaster.

Why can't MLG just ever admit he was wrong? Why does he have to try and be such a pedantic clever git to try and justify his mistakes? Really weird.
-
This is how I feel about it, I don't see the logic in it. Ok, there is the argument that we need depth...but the depth needs to actually be able to produce something. I'd happily go with an Isgrove or a Hesekth type over him, it would be the most annoyingly **** signing ever. In my opinion.

Not as far as I know?

Lallana was hamstrung with injury. Lovren couldn't have imagined being so ****, he was bought as first choice. But they had players behind him. I don't think they have another right back? unless Rogers wants to be a tactical genius once more and play Can there.
-
He's clearly not going to be on the bench. He's first choice, week in week out for them.

The wages Song wants are just stupid. I think it's a waste of money to be honest. Much, much, much better value out there.

I had an inkling that the club knew he was off, when we came out of nowhere and grabbed the Soares deal. He was a Stoke player until the 11th hour, and it was completed quite swiftly. I think the club knew about his wishes then. Why at this moment in time he wants to go there is quite odd. He'd have been better off holding out for a bigger club to come in for him, as I can see the likes of City, Chelsea looking for new RB's next season. Based on how Rogers sets his teams up and how they defend as a unit, then you just get a feeling he's going to be hung out to dry there. Whatever though., the club did what they could. We march on etc etc.
-
What don't they get about a £15m asking price exactly?

He's a tidy player, always has been. Will be interesting to see if we push this through. Not sure how the co-ownership shenanigans will confuse things.

Transfer update on Clyne, Schneiderlin and transfer priorities
S-Clarke replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well seeing as we all knew this was going to happen, I don't get what you're trying to say. Just accept it, and trust the club to get the replacement right. Going by the reports and the player's we are linked with, we want to spend 'big' to replace. I reckon we'll see our transfer record broken this summer. -
Transfer update on Clyne, Schneiderlin and transfer priorities

This just seems the most obvious transfer ever, if it happens. From the outside, he just fits that club like a glove. Would be a great move for him, for us in terms of fee, and for Arsenal. Cech and Morgan down the spine, with potentially a new striker to come. They're not going to be far off. -
That's probably their most impressive signing since Suarez.

No, that was Beradi. Very nice player, Juventus hot shot though.
