As long as we beat Palace and West Ham/Liverpool slip up in one of the remaining 3 games, then we will get at least 7th. Still very much on, just that the higher than 7th chance is a little slimmer now.
-
6th is tricky now, really needed this result for that to happen. Need a big favour from Chelsea tomorrow.
-
Well City are probably having a party right now, they must be thanking their lucky stars that Utd are so horrifically bad.
-
Well that back fired! Well done WHU.
-
Carrick for Morgan I'd expect. I imagine he'll be available in the summer.
-
Well, the only good thing to come out of that half is that it's 1-0. The only way they're getting back in it in the 2nd half is if they can bring on some footballers at HT, but the chances are slim.
-
Utd might as well **** off home tbh, they're not even bothering. What an atrocious team they are.
-
Was it the WHU v Millwall cup game at Upton Park a few years back that turned really, really nasty? (both fans invading the pitch etc)
-
West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan speaking to Sky Sports: "I'm worried about the supporters. We had a wonderful show planned and some won't be able to stay now."
-
Maybe someone should show him the video. What a moron. I'd usually quite enjoy man utd getting ****, but WHU irritate the **** out of me - esp. their chairman and their ''bigger than everyone'' attitude.
-
Yeah, this makes it even more odd though. He hasn't signed that new contract yet, lots of talk about it....but it was left with ''it's with the lawyers' and now he's spotted with his coaching staff and a Utd advisor. Hmmm. I really hope there's something in this, it could be a very fun summer if that's the case.

There are some nice little chats on the spurs forums, reminds me of how we felt when he was touting himself around at the end of his time here. A sweet little bit of karma may be on the way.
-
Yeah, bloody utd. Trashing their own coach. Anything to disrupt the West Ham Utd festival of life.
-
Looks like Jesus, yeah. Maybe it's just a manger to ex manager chat? Or does Fergie still have a 'proper' say at the higher echelons at Utd? He hasn't actually signed the deal he spoke about, which does make you wonder.
-
Nope, seeing as our final place may come down to GD.
-
...What are you implying?
-
It's gone under the radar as much as the fact it was Gerrard's birthday on the cup final that year.
-
lol @ utd. Sanches was their main target.
-
That would bring an equally euphoric reaction. West Ham v Utd Stoke v West Ham Liverpool v Chelsea West Brom v Liverpool We only really need a Liverpool/West Ham slip up in 1 of those 4 matches, and then it's totally in our hands for Sunday. I think the chances of that are quite high. (This is finishing top 7 though, not 6th)
-
You've got it. Basically, 5th is a EL place, straight into the group stage, whatever. 6th is an EL place, but will be an automatic group stage place if Utd beat Palace. 7th will be a third qualifying EL place if Utd beat Palace. If Palace beat Utd, then the league positions will end at 6th

A very arrogant attitude and one which will put us out on our arses.

Virgil van Dijk signs new six-year deal with Saints
S-Clarke replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
People are seriously getting their knickers in a twist on this thread. All that really needs to be said is that it's great news, it strengthens our position and sends out a message of commitment to other players. I noticed Koeman said he hopes to have a few more to announce in the coming weeks - I'd fully expect Long, Tadic, Fraser to be next down the line. -
The most satisfying win of the season by far. I thought we started slowly and Spurs seemed to start with a point to prove, but we got the 1-1 at the right time. That seemed to kill off any belief they had and from then on in it was us who had the better chances. Although they had more of the ball, most of that was between the CB's and sideways in midfield. The amount of times you saw the likes of Erikksen stopping, looking, then going back is great credit to our organisation. There's 'putting men behind the ball' and then there's tactically holding a shape and having ways to evolve from that shape into an attacking move, and we mastered that to the T today. Perfect away performance and now Koeman can say he has beaten every single premier league club in his 2 seasons here. In my honest opinion, I cannot see both Liverpool and West Ham winning both of their remaining games - it would be incredibly freakish if they did, so as long as we win on the last day I think we'll be in the same position as last year - rooting for a team in the FA Cup final!
