BT Sport still negotiating with Virgin. No answer on that one yet.

TBF I do still think £5 is decent value. At least we won't have to put up with horrific ITV punditry and commentary, and general broadcasting incompetence. (Although you will have to grin and bear Owen...). I think they'll make a big deal out of the EL for a start, which has often been pushed onto ITV4 or even Channel 5 in the past.
-
I would be pretty confident to assume that they'd show every game of the England contingent in Europe. They will have a red button service for the EL as well as the CL, so you can choose matches (apparently).
-
Yeah, the club certainly holds more power with him than it does with Clyne, so we will get exactly what we want I think. (If he goes, which still doesn't seem certain)
-
You're not going to get more than £11m for a 30/31 year old striker of Pelle's standard. That would be a pretty amazing figure tbh.
-
He's got 2 years left on his current deal, so next summer he'll be in the same situation as Clyne is now - so maybe we'll get a bit less, but he wouldn't go for free.

Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Barcelona right-back Martin Montoya. Montoya has been identified as an ideal replacement for Glen Johnson who will leave the club when his current deal expires at Anfield this month. The 24-year-old Montoya is keen to leave the Nou Camp to secure regular first-team football next season. It is thought around £7m would be enough to land the Spanish international. Montoya was further knocked down the pecking order after Barcelona completed the signing of Aleix Vidal from Sevilla yesterday, which has paved the way for the player to leave. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/11666889/Liverpool-transfer-news-and-rumours-Reds-close-in-on-Barcelonas-Martin-Montoya.html

Not seen enough of him, at the moment I don't quite get all the hype. Seems to have been based around 1 game - the semi final v Liverpool. Against us he was like a little boy against men. Totally out of his depth. Same against Arsenal in the final.
-
When will someone ban this obvious skate?
-
He won't go just yet, another year or so and he'll be off for big bucks I reckon. Not bad for a L1 standard player, eh?

Saints opt not to take up right-to-buy on Eljero Elia
S-Clarke replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I think his profile has read that for a while. To be honest, I don't think he's very good. Didn't do anything other than 2 deflected shots against Newcastle. -

Let's hope not. -
That would be funny.

Looks like he's off to Seviia now.

Not suggesting him for us by the way, just that he's interesting some 'top' clubs. Morgan has some competition this year for a move. Also, Raja Nagagoalin (sp?) - if you remember him, we were linked a season or so back. Man Utd (according to reports) are close to announcing him.

I think WHU have really thrown the dice on this one.

Insane money for Bertrand..! Although I do have lots of clubs knocking on the door for him in the 2nd/3rd season, but never at that amount. I'll tell you a surprising fee I did get, £18.5m for Osvaldo after he returned from Boca. To liverpool. Fvre as head physio or just physio is one of the first staff additions I make. You can also somehow get Tomas Tuchel as coach, so i make the most of that whilst I can.
-
I'm still not entirely sure why people are surprised by it or moan about it, and I'm sure they will be if we get into the groups as well. Fair enough it's awkward for some people, but we've pretty much had half of a season to prepare for this eventuality, given where we've been in the league it's always been a possibility.

Good in the know info on this so...is Clyne staying?
-
Yes, very true. Toby was actually bought in as our backup RB last year, as well as a CB, so safe to assume we will need a RB whatever Clyne's situation. I heard an interview on Sky from Toby, he seems to think he'll know more about his future after the internationals. He said he is going back to Spain to start with and he will then weigh up what's on offer. So pretty much confirmation that At.Madrid have bought out our clause and will try to sell to the highest bidder.

It really doesn't feel much of a break this year. The domestic season only really ended on Saturday. They've only got a couple of weeks until they're all back in pre-season!
-
They want to loan him to a La Liga club. Nothing to see here.
-
To be honest, from what I've read up on him - mainly when I saw the stoke links - he sounds like a bit of a player. He's apparently attracted the attention of major club scouts this season, and Leverkusen were interested to a point. For what would be £3.5m, it's a bit of a snip to be honest. Not entirely sure what level his defending is, but he's a very good attacking full back, which is why all the top clubs have been sniffing - seeing as that's the way to play now. When i was reading articles on him re: Stoke's interest, it was described as quite a coup for them, due to his rising profile in club and international football (he's only 22). The deal to Stoke did seem done and dusted at some point, but we've obviously come in at the last hour with a counter offer out of the blue - which makes me wonder if the club know something else is about to happen. But I still remember Reed saying we need 2 RB's, so who knows. But this guy can also play right wing, so could add versatility in that sense.
-
Yep, Bestikas player. Probably one of their best players, and was decent for them in the EL games against Liverpool. Very direct, quick, can play left, right or just behind. We were linked with him last year, so he's probably ''on the list''.
-
He's a centre back though. He can play RB if required in emergency, but he's progressing into a CB. Not sure the club see him as backup right back to be honest.
