  1. What's he done?
  2. Osvaldo for Jonathan Calleri. Done. Keep the change.
  3. Maybe we're being greedy and are getting both. Cause if you think about it, in terms of out and out strikers....we have 1! Long, Jay, Mane etc are more supporting forwards.

I'd make him our record signing to be honest. Wouldn't have any qualms about spending £15m on him Gone are the days of the 11pm club announcements, so the echo couldn't print....Cortese was a right vindictive idiot.
  5. He's the chairman of Dilian Wanda....
  6. Okaka was a huge flop at Fulham, spent about 6 months on loan a few seasons back. Had a big reputation as a youngster, but never seemed to go anywhere. Very tall and powerful though, so maybe seen as a Pelle alternative.

Interesting find that, written by our friend Wilson. He seems to get leaked legitimate stuff every now and then. Sounds like we're still positive on Toby. Will play out for a while.
  8. It was an irrelevant argument if we're honest. Big teams buy big players, offer big money, play in big competitions. We're not a big team and we never will be. This is what comes from having 5/6 years of sustained success, totally skewed expectations. We have hit our ceeling league wise, in my opinion. Europa is our CL, and then if we win it, we have CL. That's remote, yes, but still a bigger opening that finishing top 4 is. If people start expecting more and more and more after this season, then they will be coming back down to earth with an almighty whack.
  9. Can't believe they made a story out of that tbh.
  10. It'll probably start when Morgan leaves, even though it's expected. July 2nd.
  11. I don't think an apology is going to cut it here eddie.
  12. Top prospect. We're going to become Feyernord II sooner rather than later.
  13. A big outlay for a club like stoke, but I guess if they factor in that he has no transfer fee, they can probably spend the £10/15m fee on his wages instead. Will be interesting to see how he does.
  14. Every transfer is a gamble really, if the club feel they can outlay £15m on him, then that's their call. It won't all be up front though, will probably be heavily performance based if it does happen. I just feel that buying Austin is like buying guaranteed goals, more so than other gambles we've signed in the last few years. If the club feel he's worth £15m and it's not going to put us in the ****, then fair enough.
  15. Liverpool and Utd do the same thing, they basically post ''rumour'' mills on their website. Bit of a **** idea really, given that the club OS is supposed to be the only place you can find 'fact'.
  16. Dybala scored 13 league goals and cost £25m in the Italian league. Bony only had 10 goals and he cost £32m Michu, during his hot streak, would have probably fetched £20m in the market.
  17. They'll probably earn £500m in sponsorship's too. Still don't quite get your point.
  18. Yep, and a hell of a lot of money! I dream of money...
  19. People expect too much from the January window. We get it every year ''We need to break the bank and get player xx to push us over the line''. But that never happens, and even if a club does sign a player, they rarely have the impact expected (Caudrado at Chelsea being an example). The January window is kind of like a car boot sale, the clubs just put all their crap out on the front stool and hope someone is foolish enough to spend $$$$ on them in desperation.
  20. The money they get from that is minuscule though, compared to 1) their global reach and fan base and 2) their global sponsorship's. Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, City, even Liverpool have huge fan bases around the world - much larger than we will ever have. The reality is that the clubs with the bigger support base generally are the teams to catch. For us, it's about finding alternative ways - buying younger players, developing them, selling them for a huge profit and starting again etc. We'll never have the global catch that any of these teams have, so that's why anyone leaving us for a Top 4 club is pretty irrelevant really. They will always be able to afford the bigger financial packages, offer the biggest competitions. Maybe, just maybe, there will be a completely freak season which lets us in - but that's probably all we can hope for. In terms of us ever being a sustained top 4 team, we will need to be bankrolled quite significantly. It's pure fantasy to believe that teams failing in European competition will give us a better chance, because in reality it couldn't be further from the truth. We'd actually lose a place, thus meaning we'd need to finish Top 2/Top 3.
  21. Got a feeling that this one will happen. I think we'll probably haggle QPR down a bit. Have a good feeling about this one if it does happen as well, he's just such a consistent goal scorer. Could be an amazing addition.
  22. They won't. There was an agreement made last summer that he would go this year if an acceptable bid came in. He's clearly sought after, but as I alluded to further above, there are lots of very decent MC's on the move this summer that are potentially a cheaper option. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
  23. Hopefully Liverpool. That would be a laugh. He can be Balloteli's replacement, or he can try and get both of them to play together. That would be entertainment for the season sorted.
