  1. Like Morgan, Lallana and Rickie did then? You can tell he's a PL player by watching him, if there's one criticism it's that he can be a bit casual - but that's fixable. He's got all the tools for sure. Big Vic stood out at Celtic, so did Fraser, and they're both terrific players for us.
  2. Thought I'd check the Celtic forums to see what they think - and they speak of him in the same way as we spoke of Morgan. To impress at a club as big as Celtic, the way he has done, shows what an insane talent he is. They all believe that he can become one of the best CB's in European football - big call. But I also came across our old friend MLG trying to ram pointless facts down their throats, about how we were never in admin or something.
  3. This time last summer, we didn't have Mane or Toby. There were still doubts over Morgan's future. So you could say we are in a better position this year than we were at this point last year, but I won't let that stop Alpines embarrassing yearly-rants.
  4. 4-4, crazy game.
  5. This thread is a good laugh from a couple of windows ago: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?45614-Are-we-wasting-time-going-for-unrealistic-transfer-targets Full of Alpine wisdom. Why oh why has a club not employed him?
  6. Wenger isn't going to go out and sign a CM, he's too stubborn to admit defeat.
  7. There really is no chance in this one, way too high profile - and expensive. He'd probably set us back £30m + including wages.
  8. He improved massively last year, was very, very good for them. He went to Sevilla in the end, their replacement for the polish fella who is coming here.....maybe....i wish...
  9. N'Zonzi
  10. Celtic could be set to revive their interest in Club Brugge defender Brandon Mechele with speculation continuing to mount regarding the future of Virgil van Dijk, writes the Evening Times.
  11. Lol. Comedy double act in the making right here.
  12. City have been on song tonight, but WBA were abject. Their midfield is dross.
  13. Solomon Rondon is currently examining his contract for any get out clauses.
  14. Well, seeing as we finished 1 place higher, 4 points better off, with only 33 goals conceded......we didn't lose any momentum what so ever. Trash post.
  15. Posters posting trash isn't really on either, but it still happens.
  16. Gallagher is at MK Dons.
  17. 90% of those players are attacking players, which is an area we're pretty much stocked up on anyway. So we didn't need those players. I'm sure most of those sides would love one from Mane, Tadic, Pelle, Rodriguez, Juanmi, Long
  18. He's great on FM.
  19. You'd have to drag John Terry off of her first.
  20. Blimey, that long?
  21. The observation that Newcastle lost their hold after Tiote is a correct one, but I'd agree with you on Anita - I don't think he was particularly special in the game, it's just that Tiote was so far off of batch fitness it was frightening. He didn't look anywhere near ready for PL football.
  22. The club clearly feel that we need another CB, and more strength and experience in the middle. That's the 2 positions I can see being filled by deadline day, with the CB being the most important. I have a feeling that there may be something in the Jedinak rumour. PL experience, international, good season for palace last year. He's a big presence on the field as well. He may not be the sexy signing that many clamor for, but it would be a very shrewd signing that creates us a very strong midfield.
  23. Well, not sure why he said that. Seems a bit of a loose excuse, because we didn't look tired what so ever.
  24. I didn't see a problem with fitness, we grew as the game went on. If it had gone on for another 30 mins, we'd probably have won it. Newcastle were the ones out on the feet by the end.
  25. Alpines back I see, he did go strangely quiet during our recent decent results.
