  1. This is a bit random, thread from an ITK Sunderland fan, posted y/day. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/shane-long.952657/
  2. Good, solid player. But he won't leave Hull now, he's only been there 6 months I think??? European football to look forward to as well, very much doubt we'd be able to get him here for the price we'd be willing to pay.
  3. The 2nd video is better tbh.
  4. Where did the journeyman comment come from by the way??? He's been at Lazio for 3 seasons as a regular starter, he's 28 and has only been at 4 clubs in his career.... Another video fwiw.
  5. This is from a Lazio fan (lifted from another forum), regarding our potential move for Lulic. "He's very good. Would be wasted at Saints, was linked to Juve. He's a winger or wingback and would be about £12million." He also said: "You'd get about 6-9 goals a season from him."
  6. Looks like Alpine has an office filled with alpine-alikes. Must be a joy to work there.
  7. I think he was asked if we were close, he said not really....maybe 1 this week/weekend. and then he said we still need a couple more after that too.
  8. Didn't quite agree with what he said there, to be honest. A bit naive to say that. Would have been better motivating both players by suggesting we have 2 number 1's, both competing etc. Similar to what Jose did, Pelligrini did. It's likely he was brought in as number 1, but I don't think you come out and be so straight about it... He's probably just put the for sale sign up otuside Boruc's house for him with that. One of the poorest things I think Koeman has said in interview, he's usually pretty flawless.
  9. To be honest with you though, that is over periods of time. We don't get £80m in the letter box one morning, the same way as we didn't get £27m for Shaw, or £25m for Lallana. We're probably reaching the end of our transfer pot now, what with the outlay on Forster. But I don't want us to sit and wait until January before fixing the obvious wide area issues....I think we'll get our CB, I think we'll get a marquee striker (that's my feeling) but I cannot see a great deal of success this season if Isgrove plays a prominent role. For me, he's not up to it at this level.
  10. I'd say the lack of any wide player, CB quality, or alternatives to Pelle is pretty alarmingly obvious right now...
  11. I reckon this is one of those injuries caused by an impending transfer though. They're pretty damn niggly injuries those ones!
  12. He is injured though.
  13. Is Boruc's head on it's travels?
  14. Football these days is rotten to the core ... I'm glad I'm one of the few who look in the mirror without disgust ...
  15. No, you could take a fair few Norwich players out of that side and integrate them into good sides. But they're just very poorly managed, they were all last season. Why they kept on a reserve manager is beyond me.
  16. Redmond was pretty inept today to say the least, but so was the entirety of Norwich's attack and tactics. A very poorly managed team.
  17. Liverpool would probably comfortably navigate past Leverkusen, to be honest.
  18. Yeah, looks like a done deal. Seems to be suggesting it's as part of the overall deal taking Vidal to Utd.
  19. His dad comes across as a right idiot. Not sure what his beef is. He's not exactly professional.
  20. No idea what your point is there. Totally lost me.
  21. Fantastic write up. Really appreciate the effort you put into these, very interesting.
  22. Really happy with this one. I think he's class.
  23. Nah, won't be sucked into anything. May flirt around it, but ultimately end up 12-14th. We'll be a pretty standard mid-table also-ran.
  24. Fair opinion though. Any team is going to miss a £25m players influence. However it's dressed up, we will not be as good next season as we were last season. It's pointless expecting otherwise as it'll set-up for ultimate frustration. We'll be ok league wise, but we won't be as good.
