Nope, maybe not the reliable of sources, but ''talksport'' understands that Liverpool have enquired regarding the availability and injury status of Rodriguez....and Man City are also monitoring the situation, but the man city bit is too far fetched for me. I think MP is lurking too, but his problem is that he has no money. Never mind poor old MP.
-
If we start selling injured players, then yes, we are up **** creek for sure.
-
Liverpool have now made an official approach/enquiry for Jay Rodriguez. Another one gone then.
-
I think that's the plan, no matter what the waffle is. She's recouping her money firstly, getting the debt sorted (of which there is a fair bit) and then putting a debt free club on the market with little to no liabilities, very attractive. Let's hope it's still a PL club by the time she's finished, as it's a hell of a gamble to take.

I think Sam's time is numbered there. They've clearly gone down another route transfer wise this summer, the players they've signed aren't Big Sam players......so I think he either adapts and produces more progressive football, or he's gone. I think they'll struggle and he'll be gone.

I'm starting to think we've been duped, personally. Why have such an early cut off for season tickets for example? The board knew what was coming and what their plans were, and it certainly doesn't seem to be based around 'building on' anything we've had before - which they keep saying. Still, we may get some good players over the line yet, but the worry for me is that we've lost that togetherness....the team bond...and that's worth more than any player individually, so even if we sign some good players, we're still miles behind what we had last year. Depressing.

It's certainly one of the oddest sales of the window so far, absolutely no need for any party to agree to it. It's not even big money, which is why the alarm bells are starting to ring now - we're even selling off the squad players! Chambers has his head screwed on, and I reckon he'd still prefer another season of regular PL football. He won't get that at Arsenal, I think we've simply just responded to the enquiry and gone from there.
-
Now this will be a funny sale. We should force this one through. The Mirror have suggested a certain hot headed moronic italian will be an option for Liverpool.
-
I think if the likes of Chambers are joined by Fonte/Cork and co, then it's a clearance sale and a total money recouping exercise. Time will tell.

There's a transfer which will end in disaster if there ever was one.
-
I must admit, if we sell Rodriguez for a knock down price due to his injury, then I think something is seriously, seriously wrong financially somewhere. And I will say, if we lose Lovren, Shaw, Chambers, Rodriguez, Lallana, Lambert, Morgan, Jose, Cork (which isn't too far fetched, as we seem to be saying yes to any bids we get) - all in one window, then I'll be totally lost with it all. If it gets to that point, they should just sell us and **** off back to Switzerland. It's already getting to the point where I'm forgetting who we're selling, it's ridiculous. The Chambers transfer has set enough alarm bells ringing in my head. That shouldn't be a transfer that is happening - he's not going to be first choice, he seemed happy enough here, but we've just accepted the bid anyway.
-
Loic Remy has failed his L'Pool medical and the transfer is off, apparently now Liverpool will switch priority to Rodriguez. Not entirely sure how they expect him to pass a medical either?
-
Another mistake by NC, I'd have thought. But nope, let's join in the bandwaggon. Those Gaza airstrikes, must be the bloody boards fault.

Will this be the best transfer window for Saints ever?
S-Clarke replied to Mallagroth's topic in The Saints
Why do we always downgrade players once they've left? The fact is we will not replace them with anyone near their ability at this present time, the replacements may become as influential as the players that have left, but that will take time and patience. It reminds me back to when we sold Bale, who has since gone onto become a mega-star. ''We can do better than him, we can replace him with Andrew Surman - he can play at LB''. Same as Oxo, easily replaced by De Ridder or something. We've lost tremendous players, there's no way of polishing that up as any sort of positive. We have lost tremendous players who we will struggle to replace. That is the sad story. -

He's a class act, maybe he's a complete ****-beard, but he's a class act. He is at the UCL and international level - that's where he will be playing. He's more than good enough. The fact Roy didn't pick him is down to his ineptness as a manager, he should have been starting in every game at the WC. -

S-Clarke replied to Mallagroth's topic in The Saints
At the moment, it's teetering on the edge of being the worst ever transfer window for us, in my lifetime. But it could turn out to be OK in the end and we sort a competitive team out. Don't think we'll ever look back on this as the best ever though, very frustrating and ultimately draining. -
I don't ever remember him saying anything like that at all. Is this another example of people making things up, so their points look more dramatic?

When will you sign in with your other account, so you can argue the points you've just made? Always interesting to see what your other half feels.

Jose Mourinho: Signing Luke Shaw would have "killed" Chelsea
S-Clarke replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
He's just setting out his mind-games position ahead of the new season. Fact is that he speaks **** to rile people, he used to be good at it, but is now painfully predictable. -
Just posted that above Dubai

Forster will happen, and for one he is the keeper I've wanted for a while. Good player, experienced at the very highest level.
-
Would imagine it'll be confirmed on Monday, along with Chambers.
-
To be honest, it means nothing really. We said we wanted 25m for Lovren, £30m for Lallana, £40m for Shaw. We'll probably get £15m or so for him.
-
If we spread the 'replacing of players' to the January transfer window, we will be relegated before we even get there. I'm sure we'll get them, but we need to replace all we've lost and add some squad players before the end of THIS window, otherwise we are in severe danger.
