  1. It's not too bad, we can recall Seaborne.
  2. I'm pretty much with that. The non-aware fans who just look at the score, will blame the GK - obviously, but he didn't do a great deal wrong today. If we're not going to get a new GK this month, then just stick with this guy.
  3. Yeah, wtf is the deal with Mayuka? Why have we spent £4m notes on someone who we're not playing? He's easily better than SDR, I just don't understand it. I mean I've not even seen him enough to judge him as a good player in saints terms, but talk to fans around Europe and abroad...they're in no doubt he's class. It's a weird one. He's now gone away for 6 weeks as well, but we won't miss him as we never used him....
  4. Those 2 need to go, sharpish. SDR is just dross. Lee has really disappointed me, he's as much of a non-event as SDR these days. The fact we're having to use them at the moment is worrying.
  5. I'd say, 1 miniumum but preferably now 2. Astori, one other, Jos, Yoshida, Fonte (when returns). That'll do. (and how the heck do you manage to cockup every post you quote???)
  6. I'd just forfeit the game. a 3-0 default defeat would probably be better than actually playing it.
  7. It's something the club has explored, but there's so many complications in it. One of the area's they could move them to is the Itchen/Chapel Corner, the Megastore in that area would go...and that would be the ''enclosed'' away turnstiles. They want to move the mega store to it's own building, as shown in some of the diagrams over the summer. So it may well be that this is a consideration (also aided by the fact that the home fans gained access to the Chapel end '''above ground level'', thus keeping the fans separated). I think that would work.
  8. I've forgotten about it. What's the FA Cup?
  9. Flat to non-existent atmosphere today, probably aided by the fact that Chelsea fans were dotted all over the home ends as well. Chelsea fans were good though.
  10. I think after tonight, we now need 2.
  11. These threads are so misguided after a defeat, just spare of the moment emotionally driven threads. No substance or point to them at all.
  12. That was one of the most forgettable afternoons I've had in a while. First 20 mins we looked up for it, causing them problems, zipping it around, and we scored a great goal. From that moment though, Chelsea woke up. You have to hand it to them, for about a 40 min period after our goal, and the start of the 2nd half, they tore us apart and we had no answer to it...and we do have an uncanny knack of conceding goals at **** times. In games like this you need to hope they have a below par game, and we need to play at our absolute maximum for 90mins. The reality is that they were irresistible at times, and we can't do much about that, and we were also slightly below ourselves which doesn't help things. We need to forget about this pretty quickly though as a fan base and a team, put it in the bin and forget it ever happened. All focus is now on the Aston Villa game, that's all that matters now. Overall, there's not much a club like us can do if a team like Chelsea turn it on like that - zilch.
  13. Knee ligament injury, no idea on severity.
  14. Newcastle reserves fwiw.
  15. He's playing in the championship for Brighton, who are no great shakes, whilst performing well against Newcastle reserves. He was dire at WHU, awful at Sunderland, and that's why no one else took a punt on him at EPL level.
  16. Blimey, what makes you think transfers are so straight forward? Do you expect it to be confirmed within a day or 2 of it being in the media?? You need to remember that it's not the clubs speaking to the media, it's usually journalists and leaks from the agents. The articles in the media aren't necessarily a decent gauge to judge the progress of the transfer on. You can see the interest, that's for sure, but you can't judge the progress by the articles that are released. Put it this way, if we were to sign Astori on On Monday - but out of the blue with none of these articles or tweets, I imagine most people would commend the club on their quickness, but realistically even though we'd have not read about it, it would have probably been going on for weeks behind the scenes.
  17. Not sure he's ever been decent.
  18. Have you been involved in multimillion pound transfer deals before? There's no way anyone can portray it in such a simple way unless they've been involved in some way or another. There is so much that goes on between both parties, it really isn't as straight forward as agreeing a fee and paying the money as it is on football manager. Plus, if we did move on as we couldn't agree, that would open a whole new negative debate.
  19. Any reason? This has been going on for, what, 4 days? We all know what the Italian media are like and how they love a good story, and also how much ends up being lost in translation.
  20. Quite excited by this one, it must be said.
  21. Probably. I'd heard of him before we were linked. But in this day and age, managers don't know every single target. The scouts are paid to do that work, they bring back the reports and videos and then the management decide if it's a good option. It's not something done on a snap judgement either, I'd imagine this has been a good years worth of scouting.
  22. What a nutcase.
  23. Cole probably won't be too bad if he gets some games under his belt, one of Englands better players when he was fit and confident. But Chamakh, I agree. What does he do? Awful player in my eyes. Not sure if he's a loan signing or not for them.
  24. It's another Cortese signing ffs!!!!!!
