They'll definitely give us the whole 4000 behind the goal if we want it, you'd hope as it's an unattractive fixture for them as well make it cheap tickets. It's an easy away day, either quick drive or via London on the train for a few beers. Plenty of pubs in town centre short walk from ground so could be worse. We sold out league game really quickly so with plenty of tickets this time good opportunity for others who missed out to go.

Agree, get the 1896/97 squad back together as special guests and do a ceremonial handing over of the record to the current squad, also maybe wear a one off kit based on the 1896 design to mark the occasion.
-
This is starting to get confusing! Guess you can call it a 'league'record still as Southern league was technically not part of the football league pyramid at the time
-
Ipswich v Sunderland is 5.30 ko so we have a chance to go temporarily 2nd place, would put even more pressure on the tractor boys.
-
Maidstone or Eastleigh away would be my choice, although small ticket allocation. A glamorous Premier league opponent like Luton or Bournemouth would be good as well
-
Where does this leave us in the history books for longest unbeaten run? Will we equal our record next week if we avoid defeat to Sheffield Wednesday?
-
Danny Rohl has done an amazing job there in a short amount of time, got them playing good football, scoring goals and winning games, certainly a tough fixture now.
-
Good win, we tried to gift them a goal a few times but Walsall's finishing was poor. Fraser excellent, looked really up for it and impressed. Wasn't sure what to expect from Lumley but he was good. SAA was disappointing I thought, expected a bit more from him. Alcaraz bit of a headless chicken at times. Walsalls away support had an even worse selection of songs than we do, love a library song.

Walsall's nickname is The Saddlers Walsall's manager is Mat Sadler That can't be a coincidence can it?

Most of the flooding is clear now, roads seem ok, I was in London for work yesterday, nightmare getting back. I think engineering work (AGAIN) this weekend around Woking, trains from Waterloo to Southampton diverted via Havant taking longer. Depending where you live might be better to go Paddington- Reading , then Reading - Southampton
-
Yeah was just joking, train always preffered for me as well, shame two potential decent away days and can't get back by train. Can see more games moving for tv at short notice in the run in, makes it a nightmare booking cheaper advanced deals
-
You'd hope the coaches will come back the same evening Harsh one for the travelling fans, two midweek away games in the same week
-
The fact they've scheduled the FA Cup final on the same weekend as championship play off final devalues it, they clearly don't expect teams in our position to be there despite Sheff Utd going close last year. If we play those players listed plus an experienced keeper (does Lumley count as experienced?) we should be ok. Shame it sounds like Holgate is on his way out as its just the sort of game he'd feature in. If we lose I'd be more annoyed at the reputational damage, loads taking young kids to the game including myself, a dour defeat at home to Walsall isn't exactly the best recipe to get them hooked. Looks like we'll have a decent attendance, around 22k I reckon.

Chapel stand now open, good effort from the fans for this one.
-
When did he last play a competitive game of football?
-
Ticket office will help you out, ive had a refund for tickets after game moved for tv, just give them a call once new date is set.

Anyone else get one of these? https://nickssaintsawaytravel.co.uk/?fbclid=IwAR23Yoj6Cojudi_URvg9hyTYsK-Dq909vrB3exRC0i_OzFTxZ_K16Obt2E4#!/saints-ross-steward-mug

Yes, extra blocks will be opened if needed apparently, but that will most likely be continuation of Itchen stand opening blocks 13 and 14 next. Not many seats left in Central 5 blocks of Itchen and Kingsland , most availability left in Kingland / Northam corner
-
He's not been on the bench recently? I think it will be Lumley.
-
I think that's inevitable from the sound of it, Martin conscious of the minutes played recently and clearly just wants to focus on the league. Would be a real shame to mess this up though, aren't we one game away from equalling a club record unbeaten run, silly to lose that at home to a league two side. We've lost our last two contests against opposition from this division, Grimsby was hugely embarrassing last season, Gillingham beat us comfortably back in August. Walsall now one of the form sides. I think that it is important we treat this seriously enough, keep the momentum going. Hope Bree will be fit, makes sense to play Stephens, Mara, Adams, hopefully Holegate if he's not back at Everton, few experienced players mixed in with some youth. Ticket sales look decent , Walsall expect to bring just over 2k so we might get close to 20k crowd, whole Chapel End empty makes it feel a bit soulless though.

Agree, Norwich - what a horrible side to watch, dull anti-football, flat 5 across the back with a line of 4 deep in front of them, purely set up to try to frustrate us and create nothing themselves other than the occasional break. Also left studs in for quite a few late challenges which they got away with. Would have taken a point before the game but having taken the lead very disappointing not to win. Hope the injuries aren't too bad, couple of weeks break now for most of the first team.

Fair point, we spent big on deadline day last January, wasting money on players completely unsuitable, price tag makes it worse than Stewart. Our total spend on Tall Paul and Stewart v return on investment in goals is shocking
-
Leicester and Leeds will both win today, Ipswich 50/50 away at Stoke got a feeling will be a draw, would be a shame after gaining ground to lose momentum with a loss today, I reckon 1-1.
