Was last night first game for half season tickets? Just wondering if a few bought up there. Shame they've closed the block for Walsall cup game
-
What's that all about? He must have an intolerance to something to keep being ill. been a key player in this unbeaten run especially in away games, we missed him at Watford/ Coventry.
-
Our defending for the 4-4 draw earlier this season was poor, kept leaving so much space for them to counter attack into, we've changed a lot since then. Hope Downes is back need him for this one. Not seen much of them but thought Norwich looked decent in their game away at Ipswich recently. Have they made many changes across the three Christmas period games so far?
-
He's already trained with the England team and u21s captain so he's almost there
-
Had some great trips to Norwich over the years , as legs start to tire and 4th game in 10 days can see it being another game like this Or this
-
He'll definitely start against Walsall next weekend
-
Will be interesting to see what happens with them , think AFCON call up and WBA could also possibly sell in Jan.
-
Yes, we've played two.of them away and only taken one point
-
Yeah Sunak grew up a short walk from The Dell and went then so it's not like he's suddenly pretending to be a fan. It's fair enough to view him as being there as a fan rather than as the prime minister though so no need for special treatment.
-
Last game of calendar year , over 12 years since we did it think they said
-
Have a bad feeling for this one, Whittiker to score from outside the box, had a few quid at 8/1 away win
-
Basically whole midfield changed , not feeling as confident
-
They're not a bad side, however they have just had their manager walk out on them , just before Christmas of all times must have disrupted the preparation, we are also about to play 3rd game in a week when squad strength starts to show. It's worked out quite well for us with a short trip to QPR then a week at home, Plymouth doing their 2nd trip in a few days , could take its toll. Seen quite a few people asking around for tickets, high demand for such a fixture.
-
I expect Ipswich to beat QPR so we've got to win to keep the pressure on them, we've managed to claw back the goal difference which will help if we get level on points. I've watched Plymouth a few times this season, we'll need to be prepared for their pace up front , hard working side but limited squad, being the 3rd game in 7 days its when having strength in depth needs to make a difference, legs will tire as the game goes on. Expecting a good atmosphere for this one, Plymouth sold out full away allocation, home end complete sell out , unfortunately Southampton Central Station is closed though so bus replacements a real pain for those travelling that way.

Unfortunately can see Man Utd coming in for him after tonight when Ten Hag is sacked

Leicester have a few, read somewhere it might be 5 call ups. Not sure on Leeds. Mad having a tournament during the season plus transfer window as well.
-
If you include Walsall cup game we could get to 19 sooner if that counts, but agree unlikely there's bound to be a game soon where things don't go for us
-
Any idea how many games unbeaten we had that season?
-
Even though the game shows as sold put there's still loads available on the ticket exchange, a mate listed a couple 2 days ago which still haven't sold so looks like people haven't realised its a different link to access these tickets https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/ticket-exchange-open-for-swansea-match Tickets available in every block
-
I watched some of Swansea's win v Preston on Friday night, they didn't look bad, controlled the game and had a lot of possession, clearly still using the Russball model. Interesting contest for boxing day.
-
Both Swansea and Plymouth are currently managerless, I think that makes them quite unpredictable, Swansea will also have the extra motivation of wanting to get one over Russell Martin. Games will be tough.
-
12 games is quite a big sample as well so decent run, Watford stand out as a surprise team there, can see them making the play offs. Defensively it's been a huge shift for Saints, from worst defence to the best, made all the difference.

I can see us trying to get a decent striker out of favour in the Prem for a chunky loan fee
