I think it also might depend on where you live / work and if you have to mix with them, anyone who has to spend time in the company of Pompey fans has a constant reminder of the rivalry.

Saints have opened up block 43 of the Northam stand for the Blackburn and Swansea home games coming up, small away followings expected so further scope to open even more if sell, should help the atmosphere growing the 'home end' behind the goal , away fans tucked away in blocks 45-47.

I'm sure I read Jones was also the favourite for the Rotherham job? Hopefully when he takes a new role we can stop paying him. Quite a few championship clubs have changed manager now this season.
-
It's an interesting weekend , some hard to call fixtures, Blackburn v Leeds Middlesbrough v Ipswich Watford v Saints. I'd be surprised if all three were away wins. Leicester will win at home to Plymouth. Sunderland v West Brom close one as well.
-
Alfreton v Walsall on BBC iplayer tomorrow night for anyone who wants to see our future opponents
-
Yep well done Eastleigh, got a good chance getting through next round as well. Poor old Ruben Selles, got Saints knocked out last year v Grimsby and then his league one Reading side go out to non-league opposition, might not be the competition for him
-
On a more serious note Martin will be delighted with the draw, after a crazy run of fixtures up to 1st January he'll be able to completely change the starting XI and give the first team a two week break.
-
Both. We last won the FA Cup as a 2nd tier side, looking at the draw can see no reason why we won't do it again
-
Of course, was just joking about last seasons Grimsby disaster, plus our game v league two Gillingham earlier this season didn't go to well. On another note I believe the FA Cup final is the same weekend as the Championship play off final, what a weekend that could be with two trips to Wembley
-
Confident we'd never lose at home to a National League North side. Not sure about a league two side though
-
Sounds like could be some disruption on the trains for those travelling up https://www.networkrailmediacentre.co.uk/news/emergency-work-to-repair-landslip-will-significantly-reduce-services-between-woking-and-basingstoke-next-week

Not sure but I hope all our fans in the Northam survived from this incident

Tough game, Wesley Hoedt to be man of the match and show us what we missed out on.
-
Yeah 5 home games in a month bit much for pay as you go fans, would imagine we'll sell out both home games in Christmas week, they're always popular. Hopefully our stewards have learnt some Welsh to be able to assist the away fans.
-
Armando Broja could do with some more game time, get him in on loan please
-
They do , they've sold out the full allocation a few weeks back I believe so should be good. Plenty of home end seats on sale still, despite the good form, looks like should still get about 29k
-
Sunderland have done us there , wasn't he going to be out of contract anyway? Just hope his wages are heavily weighted to minutes on the pitch. Augustin Delgardo Guido Carillo Paul onuacho Ross Stewart Who else needs adding to the list of big money striker flops?

Asking tough questions is different to the interviewer giving their own opinion. You can ask a tough question without expressing your own opinion to the interviewee. Blackmores opinion is irrelevant in this scenario, if he wants the managers thoughts on the game just ask him.
-
You're correct. Blackmore could have just asked Martin about the performance but instead seems to give Martin his opinion which Martin then has to agree / disagree with. Just ask simple open question and let the manager share his own thoughts
-
Yeah I try to do my bit joining in songs but can't muster the enthusiasm for that 10 more years one, we all know what's going to happen.
-
Agree. Night game, good away following, had the ingredients for a good atmosphere and instead was just completely flat. KWP player of the season so far, deserves recognition
-
Agree I always think Sulemana is holding himself back, not playing his natural game. Looked in discomfort going off so reckon we won't see him for a few weeks now. Armstrong also had a couple of decent chances.
-
It was a poor game overall, cold weather, but our fans also just seem so miserable. Hardly any atmosphere at the game just moaning and groaning at the passing around . Martin interview was weird, maybe he's seen Goztepe change their manager and feels under pressure.
-
In terms of numbers and enthusiasm for away games it's hard to criticise at the moment , looks like we've virtually sold out nearly 3k for QPR in just one day of sales, makes you wonder how many we could take if they gave us another stand. About 2700 sold for Coventry at the moment (on a Wednesday night) still on general sale that one.

Another big win for West Brom last night, have watched them a few times recently and honestly think they're worth a bet for promotion, good balanced side. Hopefully they lose a few in the January transfer window.
