Yeah pretty much, only just over 1k Blackburn fans when most teams bring nearly 3k. Few empty in the home end but not surprising just before Christmas. Festive week home games are always popular, Swansea game has been close to a sell out for a while, they're not bringing many fans at all despite subsidised coaches, it's good we've now got blocks 43 and 44 for home fans and I'm sure we'll sell out before match day, just a shame they wait to put them on sale last so end up with a mix of fans who buy last minute rather than a concentration of fans who want to stand like the rest of the Northam. Will be good to see two full home "ends" though. Will be most Saints fans at a game for several years. Plymouth at 6pm on a "working day" does feel odd and might be inconvenient for those who have to work but virtually sold out already, so many people off pubs will be busy all afternoon, they are bringing full 2825 allocation sold out before general sale, big game for them being the Mayflower derby.

Are we likely to lose players for a month during African nations Cup? Aribo and Kamaldeen?

That is a classic kit, I've always quite liked Loftus Road, not changed really since the 80s, I remember a brilliant 4-1 away win there in the 89/90 season would be good to see another performance like that. Also remember thousands of Saints going there for England B v Russia B in 1998.

Always a difficult place to go due to the plastic pitch

Saints 4 actual goals vs 0 Blackburn - Match Thread
JRM replied to Convict Colony's topic in The Saints
Was trying to work that out, blimey seems a very long time ago since that game, was reminiscing about the Sunderland 8-0 and Villa 6-1 games from 14/15 , the good old days! -

Hadn't realised its been that long, must have missed them whilst moving divisions. Last game at St Mary's 3-2 win in Aug 2004 , crowd 27,492, could be same again today. -

I've disliked Blackburn ever since they used us as a feeder club, could just about live with Shearer and Flowers going there but Jeff Kenna was a step too far. Would be nice to get a convincing win Not many away fans expected, the glory hunters from 1995 have all long since found new clubs, block 43 open for home fans, expect block 44 will be empty as well. -
It's no excuse but our dull away fans seem to match with the slow and ponderous tactics on the pitch, not much energy or intensity just drifting through the game. We've basically been slowly hypnotised watching endless passes in our own half.

Tickets are on sale already and judging by the queue down the ground you'll need to be quick https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/southampton-vs-walsall

To be fair we have to doth our caps to Leicester and Ipswich, they've run away with it and are worthy of their promotions, we can at least now focus on the FA Cup whilst doing enough to remain in the play off places, then the real (mini) league starts in May

The Chris Nichol derby

Our recent record against league Two teams surely makes Walsall the favourites, at least they don't bring blow up fish to wave at us

I have it on good authority that Angus Gunn demanded a move away from the club the minute he heard his name sung to the baby shark tune. Fact. I'd like to hear the old - "somebody give me an SSSSS OOOOO UUUUU TTTTT" Knock knock Who's there Owen Owen who

Closest away game to Xmas, I wouldn't be surprised if Saints left a santa hat on each seat anyway , it's a gesture they've done before

My thoughts when I saw the score last night, we need to stop that now. Walker-Peters song at Watford was decent hopefully that continues.

Think Ipswich play at Watford, another tough game but they seem to be able to win those, will be interesting
-
I didn't but not the best day for West Ham fans after their journey to the match was delayed, don't know what the bridge was thinking of getting in their way.
-
I thought Aribo played well and added some physical presence to hold the ball up but think we missed Downes movement.
-
All felt very negative at the final whistle yesterday, not sensing a lot of enthusiasm for this fixture despite 3000 tickets sold out for our end. Flynn Downes back will help. I'll go for another 1-1

Strange game, very disappointing to concede 90+6. Watford have to be the quietest home fans I've ever come across. Hear more noise at u9s games. Most controversial moment was away end kiosk running out of most hot food before half time, lots or hangry supporters wanting a pie. Think automatic promotion is gone for us , what's up with Flynn Downes? Need him on Wednesday.

Dibling and SAA both have loads of potential , will get some first team involvement soon especially in the FA Cup
-
Didn't they say it was for the movie trailer? Really odd, Saints fans sang over it , forgot I bumped into you in the pub after that game!
-
Really really tough draw for FA Youth Cup, winners get Man City I think so not for us this year
-
West Ham fans absolutely love him and think they got a bargain from us (compared to what they sold Rice for)

Keir Starmer has jinxed our good run by mentioning it in PMQs 2-1 defeat now I'm afraid
