  1. Leeds v Bradford a bit tasty. I hope AFC Wimbledon beat Crawley so they get to go back to Selhurst Park!!!
  2. i wish we were a big club like man utd, they sell shirts for £10 at my local market and they look fairly close to the real thing just with a mis-spelt sponsor and different colour collar
  3. but surely it would be better if he was a product of our own conferencing co-ordinators acadamy?
  4. I signed up for Twitter the other day , and I don’t really understand it, how do you know who you are searching for? Just type in a name? But most people don’t seem to use their names and instead have these strange user names instead? And there are all these #codewords , most of the stuff posted doesn’t seem to make sense All in all, I can’t see the point of it?
  5. Escape to victory is historically accurate.
  6. I asked my swiss mate at work about them and this is what he said: "Mate – it’s a sh!t team in a sh!t place Never liked the place or the people – mostly went for ice hockey as back in the days they were in lower divisions in football and better in ice hockey…was always a lively place (if you get what I mean) and still is right now in ice hockey – don’t know much about their football. Basically in 2nd Swiss division right now. Think last year they beat FC Basel in the one of the rounds of the Swiss Cup, was one big achievement for them. Yes game will be at their home ground Town is a mixture of French and german speaking, nothing much to do there either, but not far from Bern. That’s my opinion really… "
  7. yeah they have got confused with our cup final appearances of 1900 and assumed it must be 2000! At least we know when one of the games will be for those planning to travel, shame Saints couldn't announce it as well.
  8. This makes me laugh, Wolves are going to Ireland for a TRAINING CAMP (so no matches) yet are still running a travel package for their fans - http://www.wolves.co.uk/page/WolvesTravel/0,,10307~2373434,00.html why would you go over there to watch them train?
  9. Aldershot away on the terrace and another "local derby" to add to our collection.
  10. West Ham was technically the AREA semi final i think 2-1 win, we then played Chelsea over 2 legs in the area final taking loads to stamford bridge for the 3-1 2nd leg brilliant stuff. Bring back the ZDS and the Anglo-Italian CUPS!
  11. Interesting season ticket sales start even later than last year with a shorter selling period. I will decide at the end of the month whether or not to renew.
  12. Because the 'club' are showing it means more to them to get one over a local paper than get the message out to the masses which is what communications are supposed to do.
  13. very impressive way of operating, late night announcement to avoid local newspapers (hardly a champions league approach to communications) and a kid who posts online when his boss tells him to.
  14. What actually does he do other than stay up late at night f*cking around on his Twitter account?
  15. The communications department of the club is beyond a joke, if its not this sibley character who is the tosser then it is whoever tells him to do it from above. Load of ********
  16. I was thinking this as well, what's the f*cking obsession with announcing stuff in the middle of the night, if it is really to avoid the echo from printing it then how petty does that make the club look?? Pathetic.
  17. what is this ride you talk of?
  18. whatever happends in the future is obviously to be seen, but they HAVE GOT AWAY with clearing £138M of debt by going throgh admin, that is debt they used to build a team to knock us out of the cup with. they are laughing at YOU not the other way round.
  19. Some of you think you are so smug laughing away at the skates, oh isn’t it funny, look at the trouble they are in, oh hahahah, well I can tell you their fanbase has had some superb moments paid for over the past 5 years by us, the tax-payer. I was at waterloo the night after the beat Spurs in the FA Cup semi final, and witnessed whole families dancing around in t-shirts with “the massacre of st marys” on commemorating their 4-1 win, and I can tell you as it was them who are laughing at US. They fielded teams with stolen money, they loaned players they could not afford, they beat us with them, and they have got away with it. Nothing to laugh about from where I’m sitting. Old Nick is spot on.
  20. so we are in agreement that the club / cortese is ambivalent about selling season tickets and would prefer to milk more cash from the fanbase by paying on a game by game basis + ticket tax? Brighton = massive take up of season tickets off the back of promotion combined with good deals. Norwich = the same Reading = same although take up due to run into the play offs saints - not even a whisper despite promotion and ignoring every major selling / marketing opportunity.
  21. Do you think the club are maximising season ticket sales with their policy of late announcements and no communication?
  22. Exactly!! Very simple question, since last summer have the actions of sfc been of a club that wants to sell season tickets? In my opinion the answer is a resounding NO
  23. come on, read back through some of the posts from this time last year from some real "know it alls", giving it the "don't worry they are toast" despite being in the cup final, and mocking anyone who suggested they were getting away with it - which is exactly what they have done!! it is a f*cking scandal, i bet the new owners have some connections to the Gaydamaks somewhere, who have magnificiently managed to end up with a club still in the championship and have lost the £138M debt weighing them down. you lot continue to mock if you choose, but we'll be playing a competitive skate team next season, for my own sanity i hope we smash them home and away
  24. just out of interest, are there any other clubs in the country who have yet to put season tickets on sale, or even announce the details?
  25. I wonder if the saving will be passed on in the cost of the programme? I'd like to see us follow carlisle's example, cut out a lot of the rubbish currently in the programme going back to a more traditional style and charge £1 for it
