depends what you compare it to, west ham taking 3300 to Doncaster on the same day, so compared to that it is.
-
I wouldn't risk getting there at 9am, take a tent and make a night of it.
-
the club this morning said only 20k saints ticket sold, plus the away following, that should leave 9k left around the ground to choose from, so amazed if you can't get 2 together in the Itchen.
-
sheff wed and huddersfield and carlisle were all almost exactly 1000 last year, that seems to be a standard away northern following at the moment, with Ipswich a few days later can't see it being more than that.
-
not might be, you are wrong.
-
Would you also like to explain why the club, having introduced parking charges to stop people parking there going to town, then reduced the time to 15mins so they can cash in on those coming to the ground to BUY THEIR PRODUCTS?? Also why charge those using the travel club for away games when the car park sits empty anyway? Surely they should be encouraging people to follow the team
-
yeah i saw that, i reckon that is correct, 23500 with 3 days to go plus on the day walk up isn't too bad, i laughed when the article said we also had an early season treat with Torquay at home Tuesday night!

The Sun are currently running an offer collecting vouchers to get 2 tickets for selected football league games at reduced prices, 2 for £29.50, 2 for £19.50 or 2 for £9.50 depending on the club / game, not surprisingly for the 2nd year in a row saints have not participated in this, with our only chance to benefit being those lucky enough to snap up the 100 tickets on this deal for Ipswich away. Another opportunity missed for good exposure and to bring in a few more thousand for one of the less popular home games, the sky home game v Birmingham, or Watford at home, would be obvious ones where we’ll have loads of empty seats to fill. I’ll probably use the vouchers I’ve collected to go along to Brentford or AFC Wimbledon which are both down the road for me, both doing 2 for £9.50

as good as that bar was, not a touch on the fun in Hotel Belarus nightclub!! top top trip that was, really enjoyed Belarus although the food was dreadful.
-
I noticed on the Brighton website where they are moving to a model where it is ticketless, season tickets on a card that gets scanned, membership cards activated for other games, and print off your own match ticket when bought on line, makes sense like a boarding pass for a flight, if saints can do this for home games would remove the need for a ticket posting system,
-
ha one thing that never changes is the info from the ticket office is usually wrong, we have 22k saturday, 23.5k quoted on tuesday, i think they just take a guess at it themselves, would be great to have 30k, would be a cracking atmosphere and you can guarantee Leeds will be very loud.

Haha I'd say the chapel already qualifies as sharia already, just missing the "no singing", unless it was Hot dog Halal sausage roll Come on saints Give us a goal.
-
and don't worry about the size of their squad, bet they will fill it with some prem loan signings once the 25 man squads have been announced.
-
i don't know why some of you are laughing at them, saints should be following their lead, especially with 6 game ticket packages, saints have more supply than demand, they should make more of an effort to fill the seats.
-
As Dubai Phil has pointed out, it is Ramadan so a large percentage of our islamic fanbase won't be able to make it either. i reckon 24,295
-
for me, the key indicator is not how much the most expensive seats are, but how what is the cheapest possible price for an adult to do the game, and how much they charge away fans, if clubs want to charge a premium for the best seats in the house then fair enough, but they should keep one end "affordable" for those who have followed the club over the years and can no longer go, like in Germany where the standing tickets normally cost €11 - €15 euros, our cheapest of £23 not too bad. in theory the chapel should be quite full for most games this year due to the financial incentive to sit there, it does mean that families might find themselves sitting next to groups of lads who buy seats in that section due to price though.
-
in a strange way the best thing that could happen to football is for sky to show every game live, at 3pm, on interactive, that will see a lot of fans initially stay at home, attendances drop, and eventually go back to the days of reasonable prices on the door instead of the madness we have now, i mean £31 for ipswich away? and QPR are charging some away fans £72 next season, it just has to stop

i've heard this is the entertainment of choice on the skates travel club.
-
the very fact you've said that shows you have no concept of fan culture and probably don't have many mates who follow other clubs on a regular basis. Of all my pals who go regularly whenever we discuss games / away trips usual discussion would involve how many we took to x away game, with pride of shame coming from the answer, like my luton mate virtually proving to fulham that despite being 5 divisions below them still matched them for average away attendance
-
do you want a medal? i think you're missing the point that people being critical don't want to see an empty ground, they want it full and with a good atmosphere, so everyone wants the same thing. i reckon we could have a decent crowd as the ticket office rarely get it right when they say how many have been sold. is it database only which is normally the case when the away team sells out to stop them going in the home end?
-
He is a cracking midfielder, but can't see him fitting in at Arsenal to be honest, more likely at Villa i reckon.
-
hahaha brilliant mate, i think between now and December we'll all be having dreams like that!
-
agreed. and look at Brighton as an example of what can be achieved with fan friendly deals, good marketing and customer service. 18k guaranteed already they will sell out every home game.
-
it would truely be a thing of beauty - please let this happen! with saints scoring an 89th minute winner and celebrating in front of our end going mental with red smoke as flares are lit. i'd want to get a pic of that to put on display at home.
-
yeah i saw G's facebook post earlier, the Sun deal is well worth getting involved in, thats a good saving all in, worth getting a few lads to collect the vouchers, think full list of games with this offer will be announced on wednesday, could be other games on it
