Hahahaha f*ck sake what a moron, hants v Durham not easily confused by Durham v saints. Can't believe I went ahead and booked train tickets for Durham that day, what a waste they are now :-(
-
absolutely, as i have posted above Adkins wants everyone on the pitch at the end, a mass swarm of people descending from the stands across the pitch in a sea of euphoria, the players want it so lets not let them down. you are all invited to the party on the pitch.
-
Can you let me know where you sit so I can try? Thanks mate
-
yeah thats the spirit mate, lets just tell people who have been going through our league one years bad luck chaps, we are going to price you out now. i know it will happen eventually, just not so cynically, the delayed tactics and lack of marketing to limit the number of season tickets sold is such a strange business plan it just annoys me. i'd like us to have 30k every game next season and the best atmosphere in the league.
-
the very fact that this issue clearly doesn't effect you in any way should mean you either give the subject a swerve, or emphasise with fans who actually do buy season tickets year in year out, i'd love to see us match Brighton with their 16k season ticket holders, and Norwich who had 18k sold by the time their promotion from league one was confirmed. Saints do not want season ticket holders, cortese wants fans paying each home game = more money out of fans pockets, simple as that, we are a cash cow to be milked, I can see us going down the QPR route of £35 tickets for some games, f*ck that.
-
brilliant initiative and fair play to them, i hope they get to 4000 season ticket holders which they should do at that price, i have mates at other clubs around the country and many have already renewed for next year at various clubs at good prices, rewarding their loyalty, Reading have offered some excellent deals, walsall away back in 1st March were used the PA announement to thank fans who had already renewed.
-
so once again it looks like we will have no season ticket details or marketing at the last game of the season. really is completely illogical in my opinion, any club that WANTED to sell season tickets would be using this opportunity infront of 32k people to advertise what is available and at what price. it does annoy me how complacent / uninterested the club it when it comes to season ticket holders.
-
back in around 93/94 we played a pre-season tournament in the alps with Juventus and Torino, how good would it be to do that again!
-
I am going to miss league one. we have had some excellent away days to some great places / grounds we would never have got to do otherwise. will have to get used to again being in the 3rd round of the FA Cup automatically no more JPT having international weekends free having away followings that fill the section at st marys (skates, Reading, Leeds, Brighton, maybe West Ham, big numbers from Millwall, Palace, Leicester, Derby, Forest, Cardiff, who knows we might even get 3200 Bournemouth coming to st marys again) not looking forward to: increased ticket prices
-
i can't imagine the standard of the ladies out on a bank holiday monday night was very high either!
-
A few of the lads were talking to Adkins and some of the players on Monday night out in town and he was saying there is nothing like a good pitch invasion and the whole squad is looking forward to it, Adkins has even set his video recorder for the highlights so he can relive the moment the fans spill onto the pitch at the final whistle, so don't let him down and get on that pitch.

Their average home support this year is 3,845, but that is probably an average of 3000 home fans at each game, that gives you an indication of how small their support really is. when is the last time Walsall would have played in front of a 32k crowd?
-
haha i know what you're saying.... but this is about 60% of their home support, that's like us taking 10k away to Birmingham for an away game which is probably why they are so excited, i hope they do sell their remaining tickets and the game is a complete sell out would be great to hit 32k landmark again
-
Believe it or not fans of the club who go to games find it interesting who has gone to exceptional lengths and attended more / less for various reasons, Dan who posted on here has been to all 53 games this season plus every England game, brilliant effort that would be good to know more about, it is an indication of the extent fans are prepared to go to following the team. Doing every game this year should deserve some kind of award considering the number of postponed games we have had, with mid-week away games at Yeovil, Exeter, MK Dons, Rochdale, Hartlepool, Walsall, Oldham superb effort.
-
They do have transport bringing people in from local towns, but we have just as many from catchment area but they drive / use public transport. I had a mate try and buy a season ticket week after first game of the season at full price and was refused, what sort of club treats its fans like that?
-
sorry mate that's rubbish, they are no different to us but are very well supported combined with excellent prices and incentives, hopefully we can also offer such deals and actually act like a club who wants season ticket holders this year.
-
We had games just over 32k several times in the premiership plus as others have said bayern Munich and le tiss testimonials will be higher.
-
Fair play to Walsall, looks like they are going to bring 1700, i didn't think they would manage that, will be good to have over 32k in the ground http://www.saddlers.co.uk/page/News/0,,10428~2352376,00.html

that knellster just sounds like a typical mincer who is afraid at a bit of boisterous behaviour. Promotions and pitch invasions go hand in hand, the perfect way to finish off the season.
-
I wouldn't say the hardcore are over 50 and definitely single!! I would suggest you don't do many away games on the train if you think that is the case! the core away train travellers are just well organised, book train deals while they are still affordable, eg 12 weeks in advance when they go on sale, most of them have more about them than the average fan, using initiative working out cheaper / more enjoyable routes to do games, often using them as an opportunity to meet up with lads from other clubs they know.
-
I f*cking hate that season ticket waving in the Northam, and have pointed out before that people i've seen doing it probably don't go to many away games themselves. I wouldn't criticise any saints fans in the ground who have made the effort to turn up and support the team, however i do find it interesting speaking to those who make it to every game and the experiences they have while doing it.
-
Those of us who have been to many games this season will share a very different "promotion" experience to those who haven't, if you haven't been to many games you don't need to post on this if you don't want to. Just as you lot who come on here for every game posting away about whatever it is you've heard on the radio, those of us who travel the length and breath of the country have our "scene" and it's interesting to know where people travel from, which games they get to and how. i've only missed Exeter & Peterborough away from home this season plus a few home games, all in all been enjoyable and managed to get a few new grounds under my belt.
-
So this memorial costing thousands of pounds would become segregation netting? Not sure that would work, at least 10 teams will fill that away bit next season.
-
Brilliant scenes, this is football and there is no better rush of adrenaline than running on the pitch, some of the others on here sound better suited to nights at the theatre clapping politely and shouting encore!
-
That was my original question, where could this huge flag be realistically hung from?
