  1. Train could be busy that day with Spurs going to Wigan, especially on the way back, but that is a very good deal being run by the london saints. proper northern away day, very tempting, but think i'll save my money £35 train + £26 match ticket still a bit steep, still looking at over a ton for the day out. First time we've played them since the relegation game when saints invaded the pitch and a few objects were thrown, not sure if their fans will remember that, bound to be a bit of spice from the transfer speculation surrounding Rodriguez (who will score against us 100% ) and that we have Fox and Cork ex-Burnley.
  2. went along to Staines Town v Thurrock, new ground not done before and only 16 mins on the train from where i'm currently based, £12 bit steep to get in but nice little ground, crowd of roughly 300 inc 25 away fans and very enjoyable, cracking game ending in 3-2 win for the away side winning goal scored 7 mins into stoppage time. Makes a nice change to go along to a game like that and would recommend getting along to your local non-league games when saints aren't playing. Unfortunately Forecast was no longer at Thurrock, but was pleased to see Craig Maskell is on the coaching team at Staines.
  3. so what exactly have your comments added to this debate?
  4. I am absolutely gutted he is no longer at Thurrock, planning on going tomorrow to Staines v Thurrock and wanted to give him some support. Will probably just do the game to tick off ground now i think
  5. Can you ask him why on the first day of season ticket renewals the free parking lasted for 30 mins, but on the 2nd day it was reduced to 15 just to get a few more pounds from loyal supporters / customers? In fact, if it is at the stadium tonight, have you been issued with a parking permit?
  6. Warnock revealed Puncheon was so keen to move he thinks he would have paid them instead of the other way round. Just a shame i reckon he'll be back in Jan and we haven't got any money for him.
  7. thank God for that!!! for the sake of 2 mins you would have thought the FA would just allow it.
  8. so - he hasn't actually permanently left yet then???? i can see him ending up back at st marys in Jan and we'll go through all this again
  9. has it been confirmed anywhere? not seen an announcement by us, QPR or on BBC?
  10. the away end holds loads more than 1087, the half stand away fans get holds 2100 so you'll have no problem even paying on the day if you want. I'd be surprised if we take more than 1000 to be honest, would have thought more will go to cardiff away the following wednesday with it being a new ground. stilll a good day out can be had at Burnley, would recommend it http://www.footballgroundguide.com/burnley/
  11. they never really advertise away tickets on the site these days, so no surprise there, will definitely be an interesting one to go to if we sign Rodriguez in addition to Fox. Recommend the cricket club for a drink before the game.
  12. Had a few messages with my Swindon mate at lunchtime, he was very critical and said they were dreadful 2nd half at Shrewsbury on Saturday and have now lost 4 league games already this season. They will be a threat from set pieces which is a worry as that is the area we look most vulnerable at at Leicester on Saturday. The fans are starting to lose faith and get on their teams back, however they did have a good win away at Bristol City last week so we can’t be complacent and should give them respect not playing too many youngsters. Get through this and beat Charlton/Preston at home then being in the 4th round will start to generate a bit of excitement, especially if a few more prem teams go out before then.
  13. Merlin is away fans pub, 10 mins walk from the ground, you can park fairly close to there as well. pay on the day is easy, so we should have a decent turn out , can't see many Swindon in the home end either, they couldn't even sell out the local derby v Oxford the other week. away fans in the side stand can make a fair bit of noise especially towards the back with the echo off the roof. a win tonight and with Charlton/Preston at home in the 3rd round i think we have a decent chance of going quite far in this cup, worth taking it seriously with the luck of the draw who knows
  14. there will be no problem at all paying on the night for those who were wondering, the stratton bank holds a couple of thousand if needed so you can spread out and stand / sit as whichever suits you. i went along to Swindon v Oxford with a swindon mate last week, they were dreadful and could hardly string a few passes together, choosing instead to lump it forward for their forwards to chase, a poor Oxford side beat them 2-1 exposing swindon's weakness to set pieces. My Swindon mate says fans quickly losing patience with the team but sticking by Di Canio, if we get the first goal tonight i think we will be ok, but will need to be physical so shouldn't play too many youngsters, definitely have Chaplow in the side.
  15. still far enough when you have one day to prepare for a game. anyway, they have Braga at home Thursday before us, so would have thought they'll leave our game as saturday evening. good for us if that is the case.
  16. very very good turn out, get yourselves up there tomorrow and sell the remaining 500 on the door, will be superb to have 3000 away fans packed into our section
  17. they are going to end up with a massive fixture back log http://www.bcfc.com/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10412~2432622,00.html look how many mid-week games they are already going to have to re-arrange as they clash, this has to be good for us, as their squad just won't be strong to play two games a week for the first half of the season, hopefully they are away to Braga the thursday before they are due to play us
  18. the final paragraph of that sums this up, this was all about getting some more arrests, bumping up the banning order figures, and saying oh look how well we have done we have X number of bans issued this season = get budget for the next season, i genuinely think they want these incidents to occur sometimes to justify their jobs
  19. Blue. anyone know if tickets available on the day?
  20. JRM

    How many Sold

Someone mentioned on Millwall forum they had sold 1500 so far, but sort of club they are would imagine plenty will just pay on the day, 2000 Millwall I reckon and crowd of 25k
  21. i've got to visit Tranmere next week first mate before i know if i'll be allowed to. Will keep you posted.
  22. some cracking flags on here
  23. Most random flag ever -
  24. i reckon a win on saturday could see a rush for tickets, just hope by then we can still get more than the 1200 initial allocaiton, i reckon we'll have about the same number that went to Notts County last season, if tickets can still be bought up to the day
  25. I think some of the sentencing is harsh, but for once it is nice to see it effecting other crimes other than football fans who always seem to be on the receiving end of "deterrant" sentencing. Just look at the saints fans who were getting long terms for shaking a fence.
