I just called up and got 3 tickets, according to the bloke that sold me them we have nearly sold out of the 2500 and another 500 are on their way, think this will sell out early next week especially if we win at Oldham, will be pay on the day for the home end I'd have thought so thats an option for anyone who doesn't get one
-
I bet it is a right laugh where you sit. How long into the game do you wait to start passing round the Werthers Originals?
-
It's great to be playing in a cup competition we actually have a GOOD chance of winning it. and especially getting to Wembley. If we beat Torquay we are into the last 8 of the southern section. Worth going for this just for trip to Wembley, potential silverware, and every win helps build the confidence of the squad.
-
It would also be nice if they could actually explain why normal fans cannot buy tickets there. the club are still employing catering staff and more than enough stewards, with seats ready to be filled why not sell them. A bit of honesty and an explanation as there is still no logic to this decision from what I can see
-
I wouldn't bother arguing with most on here mate, they have no grasp whatsover of terrace culture and what motivates people to sit in that part of the ground, they think everything revolves around view of the pitch and access to facilities. while your at it with the letter writing, can you ask them why they have dedicated so much time to vicimising that particular area of saints support. Just crazy. From a marketing perspective the usual theory on give the customer what they want and they will come back for more, rather than lets look at a popular area of the ground and try every initiative possible to destroy it, and the atmosphere at the same time
-
don't be silly mate. you try sitting in the away section when the Northam and Itchen Corner were at full voice and right in your faces, its not just the noise level but the proximity that makes it intimidating. i used to f*cking dispise places like Middlesbrough's Riverside ground for lack of atmopshere and basically no home fans anywhere near us, st marys is going the same way. and this is how we should be singing oh when the saints
-
absolutely f*cking shocking decision and further alienation of what was a core of saints vocal support. so so many saints fans miss the point, but that will be because they never stood in block 4 or 5 of the archers or lower east near the away fans. its not about the "view" its about the banter with away fans. there is no way the atmopshere will be better moving to kingsland. if lads wanted to go there they would have done, but they didn't for a reason and chose the itchen north. if they are moving away fans to that corner that is no reason to stop selling tickets to fans there now. its basically a vendetta against the lads who used to / still do go there, shame more saints haven't shown more support for the fans who sit there and are effectively being forced to move. i go in the Northam just for the atmosphere but it is mostly kids there. good win today but this is just utter **** , going down the ticket office midweek for oldham tickets if i see Luker there i'll let him know what i think of his fu8kwit ideas and while i'm at it, can saints fans learn to sing oh when the saints a bit better, it's the closest thing we have to a proper anthem, spurs sing it 10X better than we do
-
Only one word for it , hypocritical, they should just come out and admit they want the whole ground to be sat down jester hat wearing face painted families clapping along to the lovely music played out on the tannoy. Just hope this 5 year plan works, we get back to the top flight, ground sells out again, open up the corners then everyone go back there and stand, sing and give the jobsworth stewards as hard a time as possible.
-
another sad example of the slow death of football as a lads day out in this country. it really really winds me up how much of an effort is made to kill the noisy areas of the ground. No harm is being done, everyone benefits from a better atmosphere. My hatred of stewards and pointless football bureaucrats increases every time I go to a game.
-
it was confirmed yesterday Saints Fans can pay on the day. Anyone with any decent saints flags should take them to hang on the terrace behind the goal. watching highlights every away team that plays there seems to have them
-
you need to get in the spirit of it mate, i've already emailed the club and asked them to play with an orange ball with a face drawn on it to pretend it is a pumpkin

http://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10361~50799,00.html 569 away fans according the match report
-
Skates had 569 fans there last night, fair play good turn out on a Tuesday night, hope we have more than that http://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10361~50799,00.html

LIVERPOOL to be Hull TOTTENHAM to be beat Burnley (who are good at home but poor away) CHELSEA to win at Wigan CHARLTON to beat Exeter NOTTS COUNTY to beat Port Vale RANGERS to beat Aberdeen
-
If that is hundreds left from an initial 1000 then it is quite poor i think considering this is a new ground for most people. Plymouth took 2500 to Newcastle on saturday which is a longer journey. make a note as well, take some domestos wipes for the seats, the skates are going to be in the away end on Tuesday night in the Carling Cup, wonder how many they will take up there
-
Spot on. Yeovil thought they could throw their weight around in the pub so can't have any complaints. Some of you should be thankful there are at least some saints fans who can stick up for themselves.
-
agree with that. only have to watch question time on BBC to see how the topic never gets discussed properly without the debate degenerating into the dangers of the BNP rather than actually look at the issues that are out there
-
a lot of you have no idea what is going on in our inner-cities throughout the country, i grew up close to Finsbury Park mosque and it became fairly well known at school what went on there, with radicalisation of the youth, watching videos of martyrdom and anti-west propaganda, which always amazes me when living in north london! Then there was the story of the girl in Bradford who wanted to wear a headscarf to school to fit in, and the demostration in Harrow where planning permission has been granted to create one of the biggest mosques in the country the other week the muslim youth of the news report talking about the trouble saying "what do they expect if they come into our area"... sorry mate not sure when it became your area??? it's about time some members of the community were reminded of what country they live in

Ideally what we need in England is for the bubble to burst and a drop in attendances across the board, effectively telling the clubs that their product was not worth as much as they thought. Hopefully the knock on effect would be a re-evaluation of how much players are paid to bring that back into line as well. As long as clubs can fill the ground they will continue putting the prices up to maximise their income, regardless of whether or not they are pricing out loyal fans who have been going for years. Bringing back standing would go along way to allowing a range of ticket prices to be introduced like the continent, lowest prices being £10 - £12 for terracing up to £40 for premium seats. Gives everyone what they want and improves the atmosphere as well.
-
German football is much better for the fans than in English league, top flight have cheap tickets, option of terracing, often better atmospherse as well. I've been to games as Schalke, Hamburg, Hertha Berlin, St Pauli and never paid more that €20.
-
There will also be Chelsea around Euston going to Villa for an early kick off so another opportunity to make friends on the day out
-
it should be a great laugh on the train up from London with ****ney reds (Man United at home to Bolton), West Ham going to Stoke, and Millwall going to Stockport. Perhaps we could arrange to have a quiz for us all to pass the time on the journey?
-
i notice a lot of teams ties flags up behind the goal on the empty terrace at Carlisle, if anyone has any decent st georges cross or union jack saints flags could be a good game to take it along to

check out hilarious picture number 3 for West Ham's number one hooligan http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-pictures/Gallery+of+shame:+West+Ham+hooligans-latest.do?id=23371393&page=1

No we don't. We rarely take more than 1000 north of Birmingham. and even then don't make much noise except for the odd rare occassion. hopefully have big turnouts at Carlisle and Hartlepool being new grounds for people. How many on here are planning on going to Oldham?
