Ha same here mate, plus an envelope for "special" international / England matches and games done abroad / as a neutral
  4. how many players do you need to have called up for international duty before the game is called off? Think it used to be 4 in the lower divisions we could have Saga, schneiderlin + the new 2 at some point this season
  5. It is quite possible mate. My mate who goes everywhere with Luton said Colchester always brought one of the smallest followings to them every year. 100 - 150. They were bottom division / non-league for quite a long time so guess not that surprising.
  6. would be good to see a few hundred saints go up in the home end when we score as lambert runs over to the away end and the following standing on the statton bank spills onto the pitch.
  7. so if we sell this remaining 500 how many have we actually sold? 2700 or 3200?

any news on the extra allocation cheaper tickets going on sale yet? another example of a process which is a complete shambles, if they are going to let people switch tickets from the side to behind the goal for the cheaper tickets anyway they might as well just get on with it and put them on sale and the end result will be the same
  9. "Disciplinarian Hart, who flew home to England with the rest of the squad yesterday, has fined the pair a fortnight's wages each" disappointing news - that will help them raise enough money to keep the banks at bay for the next couple of days
  10. so in other words it's an easy excuse, some of the power hungry stewards having been trying to get people to sit down in itchen corner and notham for years...now they're saying they don't want to upset any corporate fans but really it is just a further attempt at killing off a vocal laddish part of the ground.
  11. as Rees says cabs back to Newcastle after the game don't seem too bad as quoted £50 for an 8 seater or £35 for a 4 seater. If you don't want to fly there are some offers on the train but they wont go on sale until roughly 12 weeks prior to date, cheapest London - Newcastle returns up Tues back on Wednesday from Kings Cross will be £33.70 or £22.30 with a YP railcard.

Can't complain about £16 really, that is what it should be at this level, no excuse now for us not taking loads there, cheap tickets, relatively short journey, beautiful summers evening standing on the stratton bank watching saints win a "localish" derby with over 2000 massed behind the goal with another thousand or more on the side. should be a good one
  13. Don't you know anyone you can give/sell your ticket to for games you cannot make? better than just leaving it unused

    QPR Friendly

although on saturday before the Hearts game the ticket office didnt actually have any tickets for this game, and didn't know when they would be received from QPR which makes a mockery of the "buy in advance option" should all be £10 on the day maximum. what a rip off that club are.
  15. Did he say if there was a difference in price? My mate who is a Swindon season ticket holder reckons it is £22 in the side stand but only £16 on the stratton bank behind the goal, if that is the case should hopefully help us take big numbers there.
  16. This website is superb for planning trips to do foreign games, http://www.budgetairlinefootball.co.uk/ Napoli is one of the best ones to do watching football in Italy, Sampdoria as well. Calcio is a good book for general summary of history and culture of Italian football

    Itchen North

Exactly right, the excuse from the club that this saves costs simply doesn't add up, despite leaving blocks 1-3 empty they still employ ridiculous numbers of OB and stewards on aisle at the end of block 3/4 so if they are going to have them there anyway at least open block 2 and 3 and let the fans have their choice of favourite place to sit. For any area of the ground that would sell relatively quickly it seems madness to keep it closed.
  18. I'm surprised at Huddersfield charging £24 rip off, and i'd have thought they would keep prices down to try to increase attendances as they never fill the ground. If wasn't for the fact it is a new ground + booked train tickets i'd give it a miss. Last year Swindon charged away fans £16 for tickets behind the goal so i'm going to look out for that if we can sell out the side bit first might be a bit cheaper. Just hope Charlton don't try and pull a stunt like charging us £30 like they did last season.

definitely worth waiting to go behind the goal, although it is catch 22 as we need to sell the side bit first, according to the grounds guide website all teams get 1200 in side stand....then "Teams with a larger away following can also be allocated the Stratton Bank End if required. A further 2,100 fans can be accommodated in this area" apparently it is £5 cheaper behind the goal so we're more likely to take more if they give us that end as well. just a shame they haven't given us all the tickets up front to give people a choice, side stand sit down with a roof, or stand behind the goal on the stratton bank (basically a terrace) and hope it doesnt rain. Similar thing at carlisile where all teams are given seats in side stand, but bigger followings also get terrace behind goal i'm thinking about emailing them and asking them to let Saints have the terrace!

Don't think they'd move all behind goal, as the prices are different, apparently last season they sold the side bit first (more expensive) then behind the goal, i'm not convinced we'll actually take that many being a Tuesday night, not great train connections. Would be great to take 2500 but more like 1500 i reckon
  21. Spoke to a cab firm in Hartlepool, for 4 people in a normal car back to Newcastle is £35 (£8.75 each), or 8 people in a people carrier / mini bus thing is £50 (£6.25), about a 45 min drive they reckon. Not to bad an option to make a night out of it rather than staying in Hartlepool.
  22. And just to add to the point above by Old Sarum, if you buy on installments your £342 season ticket will be £57 a month over 6 months on the finance plan, easy to do, spread the cost makes it much much more affordable
  23. i just don't get this, loads and loads of lads i have spoken to were all up for getting season tickets back there, i'll probably renew in the Northam again just for the standing up and atmosphere, but dont know why the club dont offer tickets in a part of the ground that would sell fairly easily.
  24. Does anyone know if season tickets are available in the Itchen North corner yet? Tried calling ticket office this morning but couldnt get through
  25. has anyone asked David Luker if they will re-open (or at least consider) the Itchen North? Loads of people want to get season tickets there, so hopefully they'll take fans requests into consideration.
